be careful not to make things worse by rushing into another hair transplant, do you want more hair now or do you want normality?

All, thanks for the responses they are much appreciated and have given me a lot to think about.
I certainly wont be rushing into another transplant. Excellent question Sparky - I want more hair. The hairline I have at the moment is very poor and the hair from the 'middle' of my head has to be brushed forward to look normal. It's close to point of having to shave it to stop it looking stupid. Even without the problem with my scalp I'd orefer to avoid that for a few years if possible.

I would still have the bad plugs removed and re-distributed, and in the same surgery have a load of new ones planted.
I still have a lot of the crap plugs on my head, I wanted them gone but it didn't happen. They are marginally harder to see now, the average person doesn't see them.

Thanks for asking. Honestly I haven't done much apart from a little reading online.
Looking back to the previous questions - I am certain that I need to do something about it, at least to sort out the scarring/redness. I'm looking towards FUE and appreciate the most important thing is going to be the choice of surgeon.
I was concerned about having my head completely shaved for the procedure and having it be a mess for a while as working in an office that would be really bad. Will have to look at options around that.

Definitely don't rush into another Ht, plenty of research to find the right clinic for you.

@butchered Was it ever confirmed the condition was the root cause for the failure of your surgery? I read your other thread where you were considering more options, Smp or another surgery. What did you decide?
My situation is similar to yours except I know beforehand that I have a scalp condition which could have an impact on how successful it will be. My worry is the surgery will activate something that causes it to fail. I need to weigh up the benefits and risks involved.
Any thoughtful insight from you would really help my situation.
