balding at 16! help!

for the last couple of months ive noticed that my hairline is receding at the temples. however ive always had a high hairline due to a big forehead. could i be getting a mature hairline or am i just unlucky to be going bald at this age.

more info:
my father is bald
my father's father is not bald
my mothers father had a full head of hair until about 50.
none of my uncles from either side of the family are bald.

i heard stress can speed up hairloss and i went through quite a major depression in december and january (6 months ago, and not a typical teenage attention seeking depressed, like properly depressed) and for the last 3 months ive been doing my GCSES. so could this stress have anything to do with it.

also im quite paranoid about this as girls often say that they like my hair (sort of a zac efron in high school musical style) and i dont suit short hairstyles due to a large forehead which my hair covers up so going bald would be a nightmare!

if you could give me advice on whether i should see a GP or im just being paranoid, it would be much appreicated.

thanks!

It's difficult to determine if you're experiencing hair loss with just one pic at this stage. I would recommend taking some pics now as a starting point. Then take pics using same angle/distance/lighting every two months to gauge whether you're losing hair or not. Set the camera on a timer in the same spot for each pic if you cannot have someone take your photos. Below is our photo instructions sheet for you to see samples of the pics I'm referring to. Ignore our contact details.....

Stress can cause hair loss but those hairs generally grow back.

As Janna suggested a few more pictures would be helpful, your GP will more than likely have no idea about hairloss issues and send you packing.
