Beard/Body Hair Extraction

Hi Guys,
I have been researching hair transplant and have contacted few to get the quotations. However, few of the clinics have come back saying I have miniaturised hairs and I should use finasteride to stabilise hair loss before procedure. For the Obvious reason, I do not want to try finasteride. Some clinics however recommended that Beard/Body hairs can be used as donor area but I am not too sure about that.
Has any one had experience with beard hair extraction, is it painful ? does it involve any greater risk ? I have been told that this can leave scars? Although they use the beard hairs from the bottom of the jaw (which is less visible) and if a person like me have a beard it may not be visible enough.
Btw I have been told that I will need 3000-3500 hair grafts on top of the head (mainly crown area). Attached are the photos for reference (one with wet hairs for more clarity).

Having a hair transplant without meds is risking losing more hair and not being happy with you result. Miniaturised hairs could be lost to shock loss and stronger native hairs could continue to be lost. Have you considered topical versions or oral minoxidil?
As for beard, the area does heal well with little to no signs of scarring. Obviously, the more that’s taken, the thinner it will look. I had around 300 from under my chin, can’t see scarring, just the odd space here and there. Local anaesthesia ensures there’s no pain. The area heals quickly too.

Thats reassuring that you did not have any scars but 300 isn't enough in my case as will still need 3000+ hairs. And yes shock loss could be another issue that I did not think about. Btw do you mind me asking what clinic or Doc did your procedure ?
I have taken minoxidil for a year but saw no improvement instead I noticed hair loss accelerated after I stopped using it. (but I could be wrong). For Topical finasteride, I am not entirely sure if it has similar side effects as the tablets ?

So I finally shortlisted Dr Acar and Dr Hakan Doganay.
Dr Acar charges are pretty reasonable in Cosmedica but I found the customer service extremely poor and now having hard time to go for Cosmedica.
Whereas Dr Hakan Doganay charges are quite high and but if proceedure is to be done via his team, then it can be reasonable. Any suggestions an if anyone had poor customer experience with Cosmedica.
