I'm looking to have a small 500-1k bht test mainly chest, shoulder, back hair. I have a small bald spot on my crown. I was thinking of just having it all throw in in there but am now thinking that might be a bad idea since the crown generally doesnt have great transplant growth due to not as much blood flow. Any thoughts? Would hairline be better
Dear commanderfink,
When going for a test session, I always recommend my patients to have grafts transplanted in an area where it would look
natural (once it starts growing) even :
1. If the hairloss keeps progressing, and/or
2. You do not want to transplant any more hair.
That way it is better to have grafts transplanted to create a forelock rather then the crown. Many people retain a forelock even if they progress to NW 6 in nature.
But nobody has an island of hair in the crown and nothing around it.

Dr. A
