best area for a bht test

I'm looking to have a small 500-1k bht test mainly chest,shoulder, back hair. I have a small bald spot on my crown. I was thinking of just having it all throw in in there but am now thinking that might be a bad idea since the crown generally doesnt have great transplant growth due to not as much blood flow. Any thoughts? Would hairline be better

I would do the bald crown, 500 or less and evaluate.

But doesnt the crown normally yield poor growth. I've heard some docs say the crown is a black hole for grafts

I can be if it is wide open or you are continuing to lose hair.

Dear commanderfink,
When going for a test session, I always recommend my patients to have grafts transplanted in an area where it would look natural (once it starts growing) even :
1. If the hairloss keeps progressing, and/or
2. You do not want to transplant any more hair.

That way it is better to have grafts transplanted to create a forelock rather then the crown. Many people retain a forelock even if they progress to NW 6 in nature.
But nobody has an island of hair in the crown and nothing around it.

And that is why you want to plant in an area where there is no hair.

I think many people believe a lot of things that are not true and the list is endless. If you can repeat it often enough and if you can make people afraid than they will believe it.It's all part of marketing and conditioning the masses and it doesn't just apply to the ht industry.

My experiences was that all my bht and beard hair grew as I had no hair behind the hairline. Of course with each additional procedure it becomes harder to tell as there is just too much hair there now and one can only tell by viewing pictures over time.

I'm thinking either my bald crown or temple points. I have a naturally high hairline due to my huge forehead so I have looked like a nw 2.5 all my life from the front. my body hair is thick and grows to around 2-2.5 inches. Some places 3". Its probably best In the crown since it doesn't grow that long.
Does the crown have poor blood flow?

I don €™t get the poor blood flow hypothesis and that has not been my experience. I mean if we take your crown and draw a line exactly where the hair meets the bald skin are we to think that on one side of the line we have blood flow and on the other side of the line we don €™t or it €™s compromised. Sorry but I don €™t believe that as logically it makes no sense. But I am open to someone explaining it to me.

Do people lose body hair over time or when on propecia because they lack blood flow. Leg hair is known to thin out over time.
