Best FUT clinics in UK??

Hi, I'm 31. Hair has been slowly thinning since about 18/19. Around about when I turned 30 I was still rocking some sort of widow's peak. Then that started going quite fast and I got really uncomfortable with it all. I used minoxidil and some micro-needling which got my a bit of that hair back but not much. It was still looking vary sparse. I then just decided to let it go, clear the decks, and either go for a HT or go for the Jason Statham. I have a very young looking face though and I definitely would still like to explore this option. I spoke with 'Surgery Group' about 3 months ago. I spoke to there salesman and one of their 2 surgeons.

The price seems very good, and after seeing my pictures on whatsapp they recommended the FUT, which I agree with. I have large areas of thinning. I'm probably a norwood 3 going to norwood 3v. But honestly the surgeon sounded quite serious and robotic and maybe rightly so but I just imagined him lacking a bit of flair for when doing the hairline. I was told by the salesman that for full coverage I may need 2 transplants. I agreed with this but would only want/need 1 for now just to give me an upgraded look. I was looking for reviews though and almost all are on their website and they just seemed like they could be fake to me. The price is good though but I want to do more research.

So my question is, what are some of the best places for FUT in the UK? As I don't really want to fly overseas. I have looked at a few websites but nothing has stood out to me as a lot of places don't have that much customer feedback, as FUE is obviously more popular. I see that the Maitland clinic in Portsmouth is said to be good, although I am in the Midlands, but does anyone have dealings with other clinics in the UK for FUT? Thanks

There’s a few clinics in the Uk who still offer FUT. there are 3 - 4 on here in the clinic section if you care to scroll down the forum and take a look.

Do you have any pictures you could share showing your hair loss?
Are you on any hair loss prevention regimen?

I did look through some pages and couldn't find too much apart from the maitland clinic and the place in switzerland, with that one being out of my price range really. I have searched a few places but I can't get any/enough feedback on them.

I'm not doing any hairloss protocols now. As I was thinking either just go for the hair transplant or let it go. Can't really do finesteride as I previously had gynocomastia when younger.

Not the greatest pics I know but I've got fully shaven atm. These are from a couple of months ago. I always had a high hairline anyway and wouldn't mind having a conservative hairline if getting something done.

UK Clinics on here that do FUT are Maitland, Farjo and Westminster. I don’t think Hair Dr does it, although it is on their website but I don’t see any FUT results. You would need to ask them.
How many grafts did you get quoted by the doctor?
Without meds you could lose a lot more hair. You could check into topical options or oral minoxidil.

Thanks for the reply. I think they said it would be between 3000-4000 grafts dependant on the strip. I did use minoxidil and wouldn't rule out using it again. I also had a laser therapy hat but that really didn't do anything of note.

Farjo looks good. My thinking is should I just go for the cheaper 'surgery group' option for £4k or maybe spend double and get something that 'might' be better. I do have about £4k savings currently lol. But the sales man at SG showed me some pics of his and his line wasn't the best. But a lot better than nothing obviously.

I think you have answered your own question regarding his hairline. Why pay out a lot of money to have something that’s not the best?
This is potentially something you have that will last your lifetime. You need to think long term.

I can´t agree that something is better than nothing. If it´s not that great or wasn´t the best I would rather have nothing done. Even if I could hide the imperfections it would bug me forever and would kick myself.

I'd suggest having your donor looked at before agreeing to anything and getting a Dr to see what your scalp laxity is like.

Yeah think I'd need to do that. On reflection I don't think I'll go with Surgery Group. I believe they'll do an average job at best and possibly under par. I will need a consultation with a proper company yeah. Any thoughts or knowledge on hair systems guys? I just wouldn't want it to start smelling and feeling greasy after a few weeks.

I don't want to expose anyone but one of the guys at Surgery Group has had it done. His hair line is a little bit suspect. But honestly I would look better with a suspect hairline, like he has, as fully bald is just a killer. I have such a young looking face and honestly 80% of girls just don't want to know or are quite put off, it's obvious. Older chicks would be more fine but the younger ones 20-25 it's like naa. I still want some fun while I'm young. And yes a part of the reason I want to do it is that for that reason, a major part actually. But yeah it's best to probably pay £8k lets say than £4k and have a proper job done, if possible that is.

It just means another 4-6 months of savings. The hair systems look good but I just wonder about the paranoia!

Btw this is a funny little picture. On photofeeler you can have girls rate your pictures.. And on another app I got this hair on my head. Although doesn't look perfect obviously. Look at the those sort of ratings. But it's more than that, it's how it makes you feel as I'm sure you're all aware. In many ways when I shave my head bald it looks fine but I have to wear glasses or walk around with a huge smile or beard, and I can't grow a proper beard. So it's basically constant paranoia and not optimal. Anyway, thanks for reading!
