Choosing the direction of hair growth for frontal hairline transplant?

I am on the cusp of booking in for surgery up to 1500 grafts with Dr Rogers at Westminster.
Hoping for early next year, i had to delay it as was hoping to have had it all done and dusted by now.

The extra time has got me overthinking about what could go wrong rather than how much happier I would be after its done!

I recently bumped into a couple of old friends who I had not seen in quite a while, they used to be bald but now have full heads of hair! They said they went to Turkey to have it done (something i would not contemplate doing). They dont look bad by any means, however i found it looked abit ''odd''. One of the hairlines looked like the hair was going in all directions, it just did not look right now its terrified me thats how mine will look!

In general is the hair not supposed to grow the same as your native hairline grows? Thats what I want, i would basically wear it the same as i do now, forward and flat, but want it to look abit fuller hence the being put in the temple area.

If the Dr is not creating the incisions as your natural hair flows, it will look off like you said.

The Dr is supposed to place the knife in every incision a certain way to match you hair in that area. Whats usually done with cheaper clinics especially low cost clinics in Turkey is that its done by unexperienced technicians who just do a incision, they dont care about the angle of the knife and when you then implant into that incison, the hair will be in a weird angle and look unnatural.

I believe that the Doctor himself does the incisions at the clinic I am going to, think he's been doing it for decades so should be in safe hands..

Good luck @MinajFan i hope everything goes well for you keep us all posted with your journey. If you are 100% confident in the ability of the surgeon then you should be fine. Don't worry yourself over turkey results as most of the time they are not done by surgeons hence why you see way too many unnatural hairlines. Worth having these discussions with Dr Rodgers to help give you a peace of mind before you have it done

Incisions should be created at certain angles that mimic your natural hair direction. The grafts are placed at these angles and grow accordingly.
Dr Rogers has been around a long time and has plenty of experience.

My opinion the angle and direction of tge hair is key
I went to dr f in new york was told he was best dr in new york
He did all the incisions and this is how my hair and angles look so beware

I agree with @Philw

Having a hair transplant is something you are choosing to do and you should ask a million questions before you commit. The last thing you want to do is get a bad result

Thats reassuring, I am just terrified of getting one of those 'bad results' and ending up posting about it on here, though from looking around a couple of other forums and groups I have not seen any complaints about Dr Rogers and westminster group. Hoping thats a good sign!
