Could this be the start of MPB?

I'm 17 and a half and I am worried about my hair. It seems like at the crown there is a bald spot forming. It's really hard to tell for me. I had my head shaved when I was 14 and I got a comment saying I had a bald spot. But I know I wasn't experiencing any MPB at the time. So is this a bald spot or just a natural area where the hair grows from. My dad began to go bald at around 30 but other than that my family has pretty good hair genes. Can a dermatologist do any sort of test that will tell me whats going on for sure?

That's just how your crown should look, no thinning as far as I can see.

You've got a thick head of hair, enjoy it. Most people have a natural part in the crown that Look thin. There is a test you can take but it wont say to what degree you'll end up. You're very young and your loss if any at this point is not enough to recommend medical therapy.
