Yea, sorry I intruded on your dinner with Cloud. I didn't know it went so well with you two but next time I'll check around for a nice romantic place for you guys and you won't have to worry about me cramping your style. Cheers! )(_::

Ian- all have been in the front third, but the first 2HTs hardly did a thing, they both grew but i needed way more grafts.

Janna- haha, very good :T:.

Hi all,

quick update, now 2 months post op.
I have shed most of the grafts now, theres some that didnt shed which i think may have started to grow!
Some numbness around the left donor area, but slowly coming back.
My hairline and behind hairline is still pink in areas am using witch hazel, not sure how effective that is tho. My scar is still red/pink, may have stretched a little! kinda hard to tell. Could some of the red/pink be from where the sutures where?

Hi Dazza.

Would it be possible to post some pictures of your scar,at two months it can still be slightly inflamed (probably not the right word to describe it) which can make the scar look wider than it actually is with the redness spreading out into the surrounding tissue.

When i had my HT`s the redness seemed to be nearly gone and then a few days later it would be there again.I guess its just the way your body is healing itself.

Good to hear the numbness is going and things are starting to feel normal again.

Take care.

bm.

The left side scar was tight for a while but isnt any more, this is where it looks as tho its stretched but hopefully your right bigmac, when i would yawn it was tight but not any more, could yawning stretch a scar??? Hope that doesnt sound odd!
Will try and get some pics up.

Hi D,

I don't believe yawning can stretch scars but I suppose you never know since it's never been studied. The fact that a spot feels tight when you lawn indicates tightness and may stretch. There's nothing you can do about yawning so you can only hope for the best.

The end result of scars are perplexing. We know you don't want a tight closure as this often results in donor scars stretching, however, there are others who still end up with stretched scars even tho they have great laxity. You have two people with identical laxity who had same width & length strip and had same closure technique. One result is fine line scar and other other has a section with stretched scar, what gives? So part of it is not only the technique but patient's own healing physiology.
