DHI Hair transplant

I'd echo what close said. For almost everyone the transplants shed and go into a dormant phase for a period which can be 1 to 3 months.

Some lucky chaps have their grafts continue to grow, but these guys are a minority.

It's normal.

I agree with the guys its normal to start losing the hairs , if you hold on to some of the hairs and they dont shed dont worry about that either, it will all take its course really hope you get a Top Draw result

It's over a month now and most of my transplanted hairs have fallen. For the last 15 days I use minoxidil (botafex) but some times my scalp feels dry and I have some minor irritations.I read somewhere that there are some minixidil brands that do not cause irritations. Can anyone tell me the names of such medications?

My advice is listen to your body. If you experience these effects then it's too soon to use minoxidil.

If you must use it, regaine foam might be worth trying, but don't exceed the recommended dosage.

Good advise from Modenese, if i was in your shoes and getting irritation from the brand of minox you are using then i would personally opt for the original rogaine but in the foam, and i would use it once before bed at first to see how you get on.

Geo, generally the itching etc. are mainly caused by the propylene glycol (PG) which is one of the substances used for absorption of minoxidil (the other two are water and alcohol), so for starting try to use a formulation with no PG (eg. regain foam)...

Minoxidil with glycerin negates the drying effect of the alcohol. Just try it.

Almost 2 months have passed since I had my HT and the clinic called me today to arrange a post op appointment during this week.Till now some hairs have stayed and there are hairs coming out, here and there on the recipient area.The hairs look like pins in the last 10 days. I will post my recent photos very soon.

Things did not work well with the irritations bullitnut. I bought regain foam 5% which does not cause irritations but after a few days use, my face has swollen and the clinic suggested that stop it for 15 days and start 2% minoxidil foam solution again. I am not sure that I do it though, as I am a bit scared. Anyway thank you for your interest my friend.

I am posting the 2 months post op photos that a DHI clinic consultant gave to me in a cd. They said that a 30% of the implanted hairs have grown, or have started to grow. If more hairs, or all of them grow, I am sure that my result will be great. I already look different and more 'dense'. To my question when a more complete result will be visible, they said that as I have a relatively quick growth, perhaps a 70% of the implanted hairs will grow in the beginning of the 4th month..

Thank you for updating and the pictures look great its nice to here you have some growth already at 2 months , for me I think things really started after the 3 month mark and at 4 months well it just got better and better , I thought I was done at 6 months and I was thrilled but it still got better but this was in the frontal third , the crown has been a bit slower but hey its getting their , am hoping your going to get a wonderfull result , I can remember when you were really nervous just keep the faith and always keep positive any negative stuff comes into your head tell it to sod off have agreat weekend and look forward to your next update
