Hi
Apologies in advance as I am not writing about an operation at DHI but rather my general experience - as I tried to find reviews myself online before I made appointment however there are non which already should have been an alert for me ... I hope this may be of help to some fellows out there.
I have Alopecia Areata and have had no hair for long. I generally do not seek treatment any more and I have accepted it more or less.Yet I have heard about this new method the Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy which they do and thus emailed them. The guy wrote me back of course it can work for AA as well.
So I went to my appointment - the first impression was great, nice environment, medical-like atmosphere. When I met the guy he was nice but already I saw his name plate and he was not a doctor. Within 3 minutes he felt my case I think was too much for him and called for a colleague. He was a doctor after all, yet much less of the kind or sympathetic type, and with the dead fish handshake. He checked my head, which is basically bald as I have AA, and kept telling me to come back when I have at least some hear and when I dont shave my hair previously (???) so he can see how much hair I have to perform a FUE. I told him this is what I had but he just didnt seem to get it.So I was feeling very awkward by then. Finally they concluded if this is all hair I had they unfortunately would not be able to help me as PRP Therapy only helped to strengthen already existing hair (???) Which was exactly the contrary of what they had told me in the email.
All in all both guys - pardon me but I would not call either a doctor - had absolute lack of professionalism. The "doctor" one for me completely lacks any knowledge whatsoever about hair. He maybe an expert at FUE I cannot comment on that.
So I took my stuff and ran from that place as far as I could. Oh, the most humiliating piece I almost forgot, the "doctor" stepped back into the room and asked how old I was (?) which was completely out of the blue as we have already discussed my case and agreed they could not help. When I dont know why I told him I was 30, he said he wanted to study me (?) so I should come back and half way through blinked at the other guy to make sure he keeps all my details. So I ran away with horrendous experience and opinion about DHI, and have just written to them to remove ALL of my personal data from any DHI related system with immediate affect.
I hope all of you will have better experiences with the place.Best of luck!
