Donor after 4200 FUE : Short and down to zero

This patient visited us several times by now, totaling 4200 grafts. He is a NW6 type patient and specifically opted for FUE only since he shaves all during each summer, long in the winter.

During each procedure the entire donor area was used as is crucial for an optimal donor area planning. Using manual 0.8 mm extraction tools we where able to use an intelligent harvesting pattern which leaves the donor area optically in good condition, even at very short hair style.
Furthermore this patient has some donor area thinning. Only healthy grafts were cherry picked in order to provide for the best possible qualtity of the implantation.

The patient does not want us to use any other pictures or video, except for the donor area. Obviously we need to respect this.

Today another 1000 grafts where transplanted.

Why won't the patient show his results after 4000+ grafts? block out his face. The donor looks good. But the recipient is what 99% of people here would like to see.

You are absolutely right, but I even had to beg to release even these pictures, there was no way to get aproval for any other pictures.
On the other hand we have released quite a few new Video of our patients results on your youtube site.

I think sometimes only patients will understand the thinking of other patients. For most people a transplant is a very private matter and i've even known patients not wishing to tell even wives and close family.

Most will simply not post anything on a forum, and this doesn't mean that they haven't had a great result, more that they do not wish to share it with others for personal reasons.

Sadly others do post results only to get "character assassinated" and chided by other who simply may not agree with the surgery, design, or whatever,or are asked to shave, grow long, do this or do that simply for the viewers curiosity, and are not treated as fellow sufferers but more or a shop window on full view.

This is in the minority but still a very real thing to have to face once your case is out there, and can be a negative for the patient who has only sought to help others.

So, I personally can understand totally the mindset of this patient and applaud him for allowing even something of his case, especially if he is a very private person.

I guess I'm also one of these private people (as I'm sure Stephen can attest).

As a result, we can't really berate him for wanting all other pictures kept private.

Still, donor looks good and I wish him all the best.
