Shock loss in the donor and recipient area are not the same.
I suffered no shock loss that I recall above the extraction in the donor, it was all below.
In the recipient area the transplant can kill miniaturised hair that is dying anyway. This has happened to me now in my crown, the thin hairs that were there have gone and it looks worse than ever, which is true until the transplants start to grow.
Use minoxidil in the affected areas twice a day, but keep it out of the scar itself. Check your clinic approves this, because they have a duty of on going care to you.
You may be OK with propecia, most guys are. Those like me are a minority.
