This is dependent/unique for varying donor sources.
Dr. Bisanga likes the beard to be left for at least 3 days prior to surgery and will then shave the beard down post consultation.
In terms of chest hair, due to the much higher percentage of telogen hairs, by shaving the chest one week before surgery, this enables Dr. Bisanga to evidently understand which hairs are in the anagen phase and therefore which are the most appropriate to be used.
