Hi everyone,
I am currently considering getting a hair transplant with either Dr. Ted Miln (UK) or Dr Bisanga (Belgium). I am a NW6, 57 year old male and live in the UK. I have already had a face-to-face consultation with Dr Bisanga and have a face-to-face booked with Dr Ted next week. I am only considering FUE.
My question, I would love to know your thoughts on both sergeons, also being a NW6 your opinions on my choices.

Dr Bisanga, consultation. I have approximately 5000 grafts available in my scalp donor and another 2500 grafts from beard and chest. My hair calibre is fine to medium fine. 65/70 density in the donor area.
Dr Bisanga suggested a first procedure of 4200 grafts (3200 scalp, 1000 beard & chest) to cover the frontal third and a second procedure to revisit the crown.

Deciding will be easier once the second consultation is complete.
Did Bisanga recommend any medications to complement the surgery?

Have you noticed any early benefit from taking it?
Yes, I have started to notice small fine hairs around the crown area. I never thought for one moment seeing a few fine hairs showing up at my age would make me rather happy....bonus

What day are you scheduled for the second consult? Great news pertaining to the small hairs - a positive response!

Hi Cami. You have been researching for quite a few years now. Maybe give the meds a little longer to see if your donor hair improves and these little fine hairs get stronger. Let us know what Dr Miln proposes.
Dr Bisanga`s approach would give you a new hairline changing your frontal appearance. If you liked it after 12 months then you can consider the second surgery.

Ted Miln has some good results kicking around and is cheaper that Bisanga, but Bisanga has a very long history of positive results.

How many years have you been living as a NW6? Is it really worth it for you to have a HT at this stage? IMO, 5000 Grafts does not seem that much for a NW6. If you do it, expectations should be realistic.
