Hi. Does anyone have any experience with Dr Epameinondas Bonaros? I know that his clinic has posted some of their results on these forums but I've yet to find any feedback from actual patients. Cheers.
Thanks. That would be great. His work looks good. I’ll contact him to ask if he can ask some patients if they are willing to share their journey.
No one? I was really hoping to hear from anyone who has knowledge of the clinic. I've yet to find any bad reviews but I would still like more to go on. Any advice is most welcome. Cheers.
That's encouraging. I'm glad that you've had a good result so far.My experience since the first consultation, to the follow up experience, to the actual transplant has so far been second to none.
I’m just over 2 weeks out from the transplant so far too early to post actual results but so far I’m loving the work.
That would be great. I look forward to seeing it.I will create a separate thread over the next few days with full before, during and after photos.
Thank you. And thanks for getting in touch. All the best.In the meantime feel free to ask me any questions and if you are local I’m happy to let you see my graft placement in person.
That's really great. It's good to hear that you got a good result. If you can, please share some photos, but thanks for letting us know how you got on. All the best. Was worth every saved penny and wish I had just pulled the trigger sooner. After having 2 other consultations, Dr Bonaros gets a 10/10 from me
I will create a separate thread over the next few days with full before, during and after photos.
I will try get some photos up of before and after.
Sorry to chase but is there any update? Cheers.
Sorry took so long, see photos on the day and my photos over last 10-11months. I never really went through a significant shedding phase and was quite lucky to have kept majority of my initial
Baby hairs however from what I can say the rate at which they grew varied some remained almost dormant and other areas grew the same rate as my non transplanted hair. After about 6 months I was ready for my first actual haircut once transplanted hair was similar length.. first time I’ve been able to slick my hair back or up. Hope this helps

Wow. Your hair is looking fantastic. Truly amazing result. Thanks for sharing your pictures.first time I’ve been able to slick my hair back or up. Hope this helps
No worries. Just whenever you get the chance. Cheers.Apologies I have been a little busy with personal matters over the last few weeks
Yes the dormant ones eventually fell out and grew in. I would estimate 40% actually shed, the rest remained and just took a lot longer to grow in compared to my natural hair. I had been taking finasteride, biotin, vit D, magnesium etc well before my transplant and Dr Bonaros had commented that my grafts had taken really well at each checkup with great results so that could have been a factor.Wow Godzilla that’s an amazing result and gives me great hope.
I’m currently exactly 4 weeks post op from Dr Banaros and like you not experienced any significant shedding so far. As I’m early still got that potential shed time to come.
Quick questions -
1) You said the hair that did not shed some remained dormant while others grew at the same rate as your non transplanted hair. Did the dormant ones eventually grow?
2) Approx what percentage of transplanted hairs do you think were shed in the shedding phase?
Thanks
