Media Mgr Dr. Carlos K. Wesley
A female patient who underwent a FUT surgery with Dr. Carlos K. Wesley (NYC) can be seen before and soon after her session. The 1600 FU session generated early growth at only 7 months. While newly-transplanted hairs continue to appear for the first time up to 18 months after the date of surgery, early growth can sometimes be appreciated at this stage.

In our practice, there has been an encouraging trend of earlier growth with the inclusion of chilled PRP as graft storage media.

Looks extremely natural and matches well with her native hair. I like the work coming from Dr Wesley ¬b`

What density was the new hair planted at?

Thank you, bullitnut. The density of transplantation in her case (as with all patients) varied. In and near the hairline, we used about 35-40 grafts/cm2. These were fine fine caliber one and two-haired grafts. However, as the gradient of graft density increases behind the hairline and into her recessions (i.e. more 3s and Follicular Families [FFs]), the density must decrease slightly in order to accommodate these more dense grafts. Ultimately, the aim is to create a natural-appearing gradient of soft hairline to densely supporting hair behind it.
