This made my day! ¬b`
I was nervous and thought that you would never reply, and never got back from Istanbul etc haha ;) but I'm so happy to hear that everything went well with your operation, Dr. Acar, the stay etc.
Me and my friend are going here May 5th and are more calm and looking forward getting our hair done at the clinic after reading your experience! Thank you for that!! ;)
Keep us updated with you hair ;)

Did the doctor have a last minute opening? You went from asking if anyone had experience with the man to hopping a plane and having surgery in three weeks flat! When you make a decision, you don't wait around:) Were you informed before your arrival that Dr. Acar does not perform any of the extractions or did you learn this on the day of surgery? I ask because I am becoming more and more fascinated with the Turkish market and how they conduct themselves and I want to learn more about how these clinics inform patients before they arrive. I wish you all the luck in your recovery and I look forward to watching your progress.

Great write up mickey, hope it all goes well for you.

It is an interesting question jo has asked here. We're you aware about who makes the extractions?

I have heard good things about dr acar so I'm sure your are in for a great result.

Just curious also of the price of the whole procedure?

Another great write up mate. It's going to be a fun summer for you watching new hair grow.

Regarding the role of the doctor, it is a massive discussion point around Turkish clinics at the minute.

You are right, making the slits is a very important role, but making the extractions is equally if not more important. If the person extracting them isn't extracting them to the right precision, it can have a knock on effect.

But it is good to hear your doctor was monitoring the operation and did perform the slits. There are a lot of Turkish clinics where the doctor doesn't even leave his office, and everything is performed by the techs, although these clinics also manage to hit great results.

It's gonna be really good to follow your results mate. Nice age appropriate hair line you have aswell. It's gonna look good.

Hi Mickey. Do you have your graft count and breakdown of 1. 2. and 3's? There's not many results online for your doctor so it would be useful if you could post your surgery pictures before and after showing donor zone and recipient.
Here's to a good result.
Remzi.

Hi ;)
Short review:
Me and my friend just got back from Istanbul and we had our hair FUE HT done at the Medical Park (Cosmedica Center)
The hotel we stayed at was Tempo Fair Suites was okay but could be better. The aircon was not working so a lot of people were complaining about the heat etc. They should get that fixed because it's hot in Istanbul!! Otherwise everything was nice, friendly staff, good breakfast, pickup from the hotel to Medical Park Center etc. ;)
Everyone at the clinic was really sweet and Dr. Acar was really friendly and made me feel relaxed and did a great job designing my new/old hairline. ( I got around 3500-4000 grafts)
The operation took 6 hours and was done by a doctor (not Dr. Acar) and an assistent, and they were really friendly and made me feel relaxed, which was good because i felt a sleep, and the good thing is that total pain free(Only thing that hurts a little bit is the anesthesia which is given like 15-20 times in different areas on the head)
Now im home again, its been 4 days after the HT and im looking forward to seeing the "new" hairs grow. As right now I would recommend Dr. Acar and the Medical Park, the price was 1700 euro and the staff was professional, I felt safe, everthing was taken care of and now I only need to take care of my new hair and let it grow.

/Michael

My experience with Dr. Acar and his team has been good. I can't tell you about the final result because Im only 5 days after the operation, but I hope it turns out alright;)
Here are before/after pictures.
I had my crown and temples done, but mostly the temples because I wanted a new hairline.

Pictures after are 4 days after operation.

Thanks for posting this, this is really great, detailed, hopefully independent information :p.

I've just contacted the clinic, probably looking to get a transplant done in July after I have had my university graduation ceremony.

My hair has been thinning over the last four years and it's honestly been so disheartening. So the thought of being able to take control and do something about it is definitely an exciting thought?

mickeyblueeyes, have you experience any side effects from the propecia?
Thanks again.
