Day 155 (5 months 2 days)

At this point I am just waiting for results to appear and will awaiting the six months point to be 40-60% growth of the new hairs. I must admit that I did notice changes to my scalp quality depending on my lifestyle. For example around my birthday I enjoyed some drinking and partying and noticed a lot more dandruff and dry skin. Also it’s really important to look after your scalp during this period so I continued to use the organic jojoba oil. Every now and again I would experience little bumps & spots (perhaps from regularly wearing a cap and sweating more?) from ingrowing hairs which did cause some concern but after speaking to Scott, realised it’s totally normal. This is why the ongoing support is so vital! It’s useful that Scott is not only been through the process but it’s very knowledgeable and keeps that of communication and updates strong.

Day 170 (5 months and 17 days)

I’m noticing the fastest rate of growth around this period and put normally followed by stubbly are growing and filling out into fuller hairs. Also when I’m taking photographs I’m able to see the true craft of Dr Lupanzula’s work.

I am now catching up with real time! More coming soon.

Day 53

A few spots on the head are still there but the patch of redness in the recipient area is fading. Lots of hair loss in the area but can see patches growing back.

Day 68

Felt itchy like it did a while back / earlier on in the process - I will keep using the jojoba oil.

Day 72

Minimal scabbing now. I few bumps in the recipient area but nothing major atm. This is most likely new hairs growing - it’s a good sign.

Looking very good. It has filled in a lot with the new hairs all growing in the same direction as your native hair. The pimples you experienced are normal as Scott says. It’s good to hear you’re receiving good aftercare support. Using a good shampoo and products does help keep your hair and scalp feeling and looking healthy.
Thanks for the update.

Yes! I have been receeding in my temples for over 15 years now so it’s now NWIII
I’m scheduled to go back for the temples next week for around 2200 grafts. Will add this to a post once it’s done.

Day 183 - 6 months (25th October 2022)

My life is completely back to normal it’s just so bizarre and I don’t need to wear any products to cover up my hair loss. Surprisingly this time is taking a bit of time to get used to eating out to the local shop to grab some groceries I still have to remind myself that it’s not an issue.

I’ve taken photos in the cold light of day just you can see very clearly the progress and six months.

Day 214 - 7 months - 25th November 2022

I had my first haircut a week before this photo although my scalp felt somewhat sensitive It as nice to freshen up and see the results more clearly. Likely 60-70% re growth here and the results are great. Also a photo of hair when wet.

All the hairs are laying in the right directions, the crown has been recreated to look very natural. This is a very good result at 7.5 months. It’s great that you don't need to use concealers now, that feeling of freedom is good.
Thanks for the update.

Day 251 - 8 months + 7 days

This is the last photo of my crown with longer hair for a while. I returned to Brussels in early Jan to Dr Lupanzula for the temples. Here is a photo of the crown FUE results with a full shaven head. Another photo shows the donor area as well.

The crown is looking very good even though there is a bright light directly on it. Still time for more improvement too. Donor area looks good. Some small scarring but I’m looking for it and know what to look for. The average person would not give a second look.
How many grafts are you having to address the temples?
I`ll look forward to seeing and reading about the surgery.
All the best.

Yes the lighting is not the best so it looks good considering this. When I had my haircut back in October 2022 (fade at grade 1 or 2) it wasn’t that noticeable however when it was grade 0 it was noticeable - I believe the scaring will be more prominent now as I have had nearly double the amount of grafts from my donor area. I had 2436 grafts on my second procedure around my temples. I am 10 days in - post procedure. I will be posting about it in the coming days. Should i add to this thread or start a new one?

It`s up to you if you want to start a new thread or add to this. Maybe if you start a new one have it titled temples or temple point restoration as many people are specifically interested in this procedure.
Unfortunately, scarring is evident in most FUE cases. Donor management with an educated extraction pattern is vital to maintain a healthy appearance.
I hope all went well with the surgery.
