Dr. Maras at HDC clinic in Cyprus, 2550 grafts REPAIR hair transplant over Arenamed's (in Turkey) first experience

I want to thank Dr. Maras and HDC team for repairing my scalp, I was in terrible condition from my first experience with Arenamed.

I am 37 years today and had my first HT back in February 2018 at Arenamed clinic in Turkey Istanbul with an escort service with a local agent from my country Israel that represent Arenamed, before the surgery I was promised in a contract, that I will have 5000 grafts ( mega session in a day) WITH NO SCARS and 100% garauntee of a result and safe, my experience at Arenamed was horrible! I had 10 hours surgery, very painful procedure that almost cost my life! They injected me too much anesthetic, which caused me to faint on a wheelchair, puke and vomit for 12 hours, body temperature was cold and squirm! They called to an ambulance and the doctor determined that my blood pressure was low due to anesthesia overdose (I am not allergic to anesthesia), after I recovered in my hotel, I couldn't sleep, I continued to threw up in the toilet and the head was too painful so I couldn't sleep!

After a year me and the agent agreed my HT was a FAILURE, BUT he refused to admit I had scars! I went to a specialist and he approved with a latter my donor area got scared due the HT surgery, PLUS the surgery hurt MY NATURAL HAIR, so the HT was failure, I got scars, I almost died from medical malpractice and my natural hair got damaged.

The agecny only offered me repair with a lower price HT at Arenamed but I refused and asked for a full refund and the agent refused even after he didn't provide what he promised on paper, we had a fight without understanding and no agreement.

Few months ago the same agent texted and THREATENED TO SUE ME! For sharing my story but I ignored him and followed the rules by lawyer's advice.

MOST HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE I EVER HAD!



Now for the good part with the lovely experience at HDC in Cyprus

At first I met Dr. Maras, his team and the representors in my country, I was very emotional and told them my story with tears, I explained them I am ashamed to go out by the way I look now, I feel my appearance and my confidence were destroyed, they calmed me down, and promised that everything will be fixed, Dr. Maras explained that my luck is the fact that Arenamed didn't touch my donor area next to my ears (strong donor area), they were very empathetic, they explained me the whole procedure will be totally different in much nicer way.

Before my arrival to HDC, I met 7 patients that had HTs by Dr. Maras, all looked great to me! 4 of the patients, had REPAIR HAIR TRANSPLANTS, and 2 of them were like myself customers that had a huge let letdown from the first agent that work with Arenamed, also I months over months learned a lot about hair transplants, the difference between Microscope FUE, to Mini FUE to only eye using FUE, how to preserve grafts, why my first HT failed, how not to make scars, hair punch mm, ect...

When I arrived to Cyprus I felt much calmer compare to Istanbul, the apartment that HDC provided me was clean and modern.

The 2 days surgey by Dr. Maras went clean and easy, with small injections without any issues

I am now post final repair result and couldn't be happier! Full hair with no scars as promised!

Dr. Maras and HDC team regained my confidence and youthful look, I HIGHLY recommend

I am proud to represent HDC, always try to prevent from ppl to go to cheap black market clinics, me and 5 more casualties are now suing that rep of Arenamed.

I always enjoy to share knowledge with ppl how to choose a legit clinic, glad there are serious forums.

Sorry to read about the terrible experience you had with your first surgery. It's easy to fall victim to all the hype that is posted and promoted online.
The good news is you are ok and have been able to have repair surgery with Dr Maras. He has done a fantastic repair for you which looks great.

I am glad that there serious forums like these that give support, I also heard that you help many patients that were botched before like me which is not for granted! We must keep away patients from black market clinics

Yea many cheap clinics use Instagram as a fake news, you won't believe what kind of Turkish black market clinics asked me to rep them, just for the fun I asked " Do you use microscopes?", and they replied "What are microscopes?" ‍

Yes, there are many scams on social media and paid ads. People researching are overwhelmed with information, lots of it fake.
I can well believe them not knowing what microscopes are. It is rife in most countries, some more than others.
I get a lot of clinics wanting to join or lots who just post.

The rep was my "friend" and barber for 14 years, at the time I wasn't aware what is a professional hair transplant procedure protocol, we had a contract and intentionally lied that greedy low life, at least I was smart enough to document everything, I even have a video how they abused us with anesthesia, gonna nail him in court!

Yea those cheap clinics try to advertise fake news in Hair Restoration Network, but the admin is blocking them for good, those black market clinics majority mostly in Facebook, this is why I also created my Facebook HDC group, because many ppl don't listen to me and too lazy to go to the serious forums.

You can lead a horse to water but you can`t make it drink. If people are aware of the facts and forums that are genuinely there to help then there`s not much else you can do if they don`t list and off they go with little to no research.

He turned out to be an untrustworthy person for you and the others. Was he aware of other unhappy people before arranging your transplant?

This is the problem, there is no federal enforcment over HTs, in Europe and USA even here in Israel technicians aren't allow to do any surgical procedures, so most ppl are after 1500-3000 cheap black market clinics, every I have inquiries from paitents that want a repair and many times you can't repair them.

Unlike me, most botched paitents afraid to share their stories, you won't believe the amount of cases like this I have filed in my folders.

I deal with and help way too many repair patients. As the number of amateurish clinics explodes, the patient casualties do as well. Most do suffer in silence. I do try my best to help them. Some I`ve helped by arranging pro bono repair work. You`re correct in saying that some are beyond repair and it`s also difficult for good clinics to offer help in some cases.

In my opinion all pro clinics have enough paitents to take care of, the problem is the black market clinics especially in Turkey, it drive me crazy when a botched paitent telling me he is going for a 2nd try on those clinics even 3 times!
Those clinics offer them "free repair" and ppl care more for their money than their health and esthetics, I went to Turkish cheap clinic because I had now knowledge before, I thought that clinic was pro, because the rep took advantage of me knowing him for 14 years, just blows my mind when ppl go there more than once and only after they used their "free repair", than they ask to be repaired on a pro clinic.
