Dr Ragu Reddy - charging by the hair not the graft

I've been quoted for a transplant with Dr Reddy. I understand he'll transplant 1,800 hairs, whereas other clinics transplant 1,800 grafts. Dr Reddy's staff tell me I'll end up with more by his method. But other clinics say grafts contain more than one hair and they will deliver more than 1,800 hairs as a result. I'm confused. Could someone explain to me whether I'd end up with less new hair by Dr Reddy's method please.

Thanks
Craig

Dr Reddy performed my second hair transplant, and he is a very skilled and ethical doctor. I paid for grafts, rather than hairs though. If you averaged 2.6 hairs per graft and have 1,800 grafts transplanted, then you would end up with 4,680 hairs transplanted, whereas if you you pay for 1,800 hairs you will only get the 1800 hairs. However, probably depends on where you having the work done. If it is the hairline, lots of 1 hair grafts are used for the this part. Someone else might be able to offer a better answer! I do know that he is one of the best in the business and you couldn't go wrong with him. I really rate him. The only reason I did not go back was cost, because he is more expensive and a little more conservative than some other surgeons.

He is a good surgeon surgeon and i think he use to charge per graft....don't know about this change....charges per hair will ofcourse be more costly but i think you are probably going for a very small session and thats why he is charging per hair and not graft...
