Folliculitis

was tld by a dr. i have Folliculitis in my scalp. I have a lot of bumps, pimples, ingrown hairs etc. whats the best treatment for this? im seeing a derm next week. im assuming hold off on any ht until this is resolved


its mainly in my crown which is balding is it possible this is some sort of alopecia and not mpb.

Yea you can have Folliculitis as its ingrown hairs trapped under the surface of the skin, you can apply a warm compress to the area to help the hair break through the skin.

You may need antibiotics if its really bad, would you be able to post a picture of the area.
