You get older and have more free time €¦ €¦ €¦lol €¦ €¦ €¦..not quite. I regularly worked a 78 hour week when I was younger and always managed to workout daily. But sometimes people will come up with all types of excuses.

My suggestion would be to toss out the television and cell phone and you will be amazed at the amount of time you have for more worthwhile endeavors.

I would also add that my ht experience over the years has taught me not to be a sucker to what people are marketing including the food and medical industry. I have also learned to become more knowledgeable as it trumps working harder and making no progress.

Sadbuttrue I would suggest picking up a book.

Sadbuttrue I consumed 5 dozen raw eggs during my stay in Brussels that was a choice, not much to do about time there. In fact I think someone must have tipped off the hotel that I was coming to town and Levaris can attest to the fact the hotel limited us to only 2 cooked eggs per day..........lol...........maybe they were looking out for our health.

Sad but True I €™m sorry my mistake as I read it too fast. I €™m just so use to hearing that same line from so many I didn €™t pay attention closely enough. The list usually goes like this.

I don €™t have the time

I know a guy that exercised, ate healthy and he died in his early 30 €™s

I know a woman who drank and smoked her whole life and lived to be 120

Then when it comes to specific exercises it usually goes like this.

I have got a bad back followed closely by I have a knee injury.

On another note effective exercise can take as little as 15 minutes per day. It €™s more about controlling your hormones and body system through that exercise and food. And it €™s still always a good idea to get rid of the television.

Sadbuttrue it such a lengthy subject that it would be hard to really go into detail. I have been a competitive powerlifter for a number of years but I have also spent an equal amount of time training in martial arts. I tend to train martial arts more now and lifting consists more of speed work for reps that are much higher, in fact extremely high. But that is just a personal choice that I enjoy. One of the most effective exercises one can do would be sprints because of the effect it has on the hormonal system. But depending on one €™s condition they might be better off just walking 5-10 miles per day to condition themselves and concentrate on dropping 30-75 lbs for most. They make the mistake of trying to exercise when they are obese although they would never admit to being obese that extra weight while trying to exercise is what will most likely result in their injury. Once they have lost that 75lbs then the intensity could probably be increased.

Seriously consider getting rid of the TV as it puts the brain in an alpha state and regardless of how hard one tries it slowly programs the mind to believe what is being marketed to them as very normal especially in the way of food and it €™s not. Something else which would be very important for most as they simply can €™t lead the way in eating habits would be to find some new friends. If you make too much progress they will tend to bring you back down to their level in order for them to feel good about themselves making it much harder for you to achieve higher levels at first.

As far as diet is concerned I will keep it very simple for now. Eat foods that cause the body to release as little insulin as possible think meats, fish, poultry and vegetables. I would also include getting off of all medications over time as the body has no need for them when it is in a healthy state and get some sunshine very important for the brain and the body. And as always never get health advice from a doctor ;)

Yeah I know I'm showing off.

its cool ,no biggie, thanks for explaining your routine, im overweight now, i stick to walking 3 times a week around 2 miles , not much but its a start , when i was younger i was in great shape and worked out 5 to 6 times a week, plus i trained in martial arts as well, i was a huge fan as a youngster, studied martial arts for about 5 years, at the tai chi wu shu center, one part of the school was tai chi and the other half was,wu shu, when i started losing hair, it affected my drive and i worked out less and my waist began to grow, lol, but im trying to get back in shape.smal steps first.

Sadbutrue stick with what you are doing and the diet aspect is the most important. It €™s more about food selection and less about quantity. I also forget to list eggs which are not only low on the glycemic index but also low on the insulin index.

A rep recently asked about all these small sessions I am having with BHR it €™s the same. Slow and steady progress is always the best approach. That weight in the picture I did for only 1 rep, 10 years later I now do it for 5, hard to believe if most saw me in person. I also do something that I get the most comments on and that is slam my fist into a solid wood wall or piece of tubular steel for high reps along muay thai kicks to a wooden post many find it very disturbing. This is something that simply cannot be achieved quickly and has taken me over 35 years of slow and steady progress. I hope to one day show up at a ht conference to show some of the guys;)

Good luck with your program and the key at first is to make whatever you are doing a habit and that is why it can't be too intense.

It is beeing very instructive to read all your posts and the long ride in your repair road.

Your result is also great till the day now and for sure will only improve because of the strategy and Dr you are with.

I also started a similar path somehow (1000 beard grafts and a few hundred scalp from a depleted donnor caused by a large previous fue and a high degree of baldness). I will open a post with my experience once I reach the 8th month and I get my full result.

But now, I would like to ask you:
Do you know if some of your beard hairs shed and then grew back after months or they just stayed and kept growing. From experiences I read (yours, Ejj, Royroy) they just stayed and kept growing most of them, which means that probably transplanted beard hairs follow a different way than scalp after being transplanted. I mean: may we say that beard hairs successfully transplanted dont shed?, Is that your experience?. Or you also saw some beard hairs shedding and after months sprouting?.

Many thanks in advance and once again your testimony is greatly apreaciated by all.

I follow your way and I share your opinions. I am also a slow progressor (20 years with weights after retiring from swimming competition and with my almost 40 preparing to cross Gibraltar stretch by swim) while I started years ago an almost impossible fight of recovering slightly my head hair, the most difficult war of all.
It is not that we cannot assume our loss of hair, It is just that we are born to fight.

All the best to all the warriors.

Hi musclehair I would say some beard hair kept growing and some shed and then grew. As far as how many I can't honestly say maybe 50/50 but that is just a guess. I would definitely say the yield overall was close to 100%. I can say this becasue the sessions were small and I had no hair behind that hairline which amounted to anything as opposed to what is there now.

Best wishes in your growth and I will watch for your update.

This will be my last picture update for at least 1 month. This shows the lateral hump area which is approximately 18 sq cm. In total approximately 600 fue were taken over 3 sessions. Probably much more than is normally taken over this much surface area but this was at my request as I would like to even out the top with the sides as best I can. In my opinion the healing has been excellent and this picture is being taken at the 6 day point from the procedure.

Yes I do like big up close pictures as small blurry pictures are pointless to post.

Sadbuttrue I use prothik which is available at their website with the same name. I have found it to be the best when compared to fibers or products like dermatch. Basically it is a spray on product consisting of titanium and iron oxides the same ingredient found in the head tattooing. Would I inject the same shit into my skin, NO. I have found the best way to apply the product is to the scalp with the hair still wet. You are basically trying to reduce the reflection of light while giving the scalp a stubble effect. The reflection part simply can €™t be done with tattooing as the spray sits on top of the skin and gives it a more matte appearance. Also by applying it this way you avoid spraying too much onto the hair shaft which would take away the natural highlight. This is where I think most guys apply concealers poorly. When you lose those highlights it looks very fake.

The company just happened to change the sprayer tips and the new ones are complete crap so I had to send them a note and let them know. If you do decide to order and have problems let me know and I can send you a picture of the old sprayer tip and you should request that one.

Since the healing has gone exceptionally well I decided to provide an early update. Still consuming about a dozen raw eggs a day which is normal for me but usually I have them soft boiled. The extra cholesterol and fat are really good for the skin in my opinion and if you do enough research on cholesterol you would understand that it is very beneficial unless of course if you are selling Lipitor.

I asked Dr. Bisanga to just go ahead and shave my head to make it easier but he just shaved a small area on each lateral hump and left the rest alone including the recipient. Now I don €™t have to explain why I €™m wearing a hat at the Thanksgiving dinner table. With just a little concealer I €™m already almost back to normal. These pictures are 9 days post op.

I will not shave for at least 3 more weeks and have only trimmed the hairs with a beard trimmer so as not to exfoliate the skin.

Hi Topcat, are the last 2 pics with or without concealer? Either way it looks really good.

Definitely with concealer....lol......but I'm surprised at how little I need to use. Makes me believe that it wouldn't take much more hair to actually be able to eliminate it at least on top.

Here is my update of the lateral hump area on the scalp before the hair grows too long. I have had approximately 600 fue €™s taken from this area over 3 procedures with the majority coming from this 18 sq cm area. The procedure was 2 weeks ago and the previous procedures were 2 and 3 years ago. The harvesting is probably higher than normal at my request and it looks very normal to me.
