It €™s only 5 weeks after my last procedure. I got a lot of crap for all these small procedures over the last 5 years or so and some derogatory comments along the way by those who really have the agenda but it €™s all been worth it. The pictures I believe tell the story better and I €™m looking towards continued improvement. I feel very strongly about all the harm that goes on in this industry and I am very grateful that I found the right clinic for me. I was looking at my before pictures which I rarely do and wow I have come a long way.

Hi Levrais usually I am still dealing with some ingrown hairs at this point but I did something slightly different at the 4 week mark. I actually wish I would have done it sooner as the ingrown hairs I did have at the time almost seemed to disappear the next day €¦ €¦ €¦..it was that quick.

I applied raw butter to my skin. Raw butter is unpasteurized dairy cream from grass fed cows. Actually this time of year is ideal as they have grazed heavily over the summer months and it €™s very high in vitamin A and D which can be absorbed through the skin. Vitamin D also produces a substance called calthelicidin which is the body €™s main antibiotic also having anti viral, anti fungal and anti bacterial properties. The butter is also high in lauric acid having the same properties which can also be found in coconut oil but in my opinion the butter works better maybe due to that high vitamin content.

I have also been eating more of the same butter than usual. The only food that I have noticed through observation that makes a dramatic effect on my skin is anything made with pork fat. That fat just seems to pour through the skin from the inside out and enhance the texture of the skin.

Of course I can €™t recommend what I do to others as at some point we all need to take responsibility for our own choices.

Thanks for the update and interesting as usual. I agree with the raw butter also. Great stuff, I use raw coconut oil daily on scalp and skin.

Looking good Topcat, i love reading your posts as they are very helpful, informative and educational.

sl why do you use the raw coconut on your scalp everyday? have you seen any benefits from doing this bud?

I don't do it for hair growth reasons but actually cleanse with it and keep it on lightly.

It is also a natural sun block although we don't get much sun here, but is a good moisturiser and all I ever use. I never apply any synthetic moisturisers but just go as natural as possible with everything I use and apply things I could also eat a bit like TC really in that though without the muscles.

Hi SL thanks for the comments.

I only mention the pork because the effect is so noticeable each and every time I eat it I €™m always amazed. I wouldn €™t say I eat a lot of pork products as I prefer pastured meats but when I do I know exactly where it €™s coming from as I have a friend that raises pigs not too far away along with some Amish farmers that come to town every few weeks and also offer it.

Since my eating habits are so regimented the observation comes very easily for me. For instance on occasion I eat raw milk cheese that is processed with a limited amount of Celtic Sea salt as part of my diet. Sometimes when I have a taste for cheese and I run out of the raw milk variety I end up purchasing some Canadian cheese from a local store. The effects of the sodium in that product can no doubt be seen on the skin the next day. The main point is that food definitely without a doubt has a tremendous effect on human body both good and bad depending on our choices.

I am a fairly avid reader, nutrition, marketing, psychology etc. Recently I have read about a dozen books on BDD as I find the subject material very useful. One book stood out and I would like to recommend to others on the hairloss forums because much of what I see and read on the forums can be avoided by learning from the experience of others.

What I really liked about the book is that it was written almost as an autobiography which made it hard to put down as one wants to see what happens next. The book was written by Brian Cuban and is titled €œShattered Image €. I could probably give this part away without spoiling it. Brian Cuban is Mark Cuban €™s brother the owner of the Dallas Mavericks. It was really fascinating to read about his journey from a child to the man he is today at 51 and part of that journey included hair transplants. It does not focus on hair transplants and maybe what he was feeling does not apply to everyone but it certainly does apply to some. Good information regardless of your own personal situation.

It €™s a good read for anyone considering a hair transplant because you need to be in the right state of mind before you go down that road and it has to be for the right reasons. It should be more of a logical decision and not so much of an emotional decision.

Personally for me I connected is some ways with what I was reading. The desperation he felt is not something I every really experienced in my life. It was only after what can only be described as being disfigured by Puig that I felt that feeling and it took a long time for it to go away. That desperation led me to try anything to fix the mess. It was all so unnecessary but one learns that some people will do anything for money even if it causes harm to another.

Just read this quote, a little off topic but thought I would share it to see what your thoughts are,Quote.... DID YOU KNOW???? If sebum on the scalp is not dissolved properly, it can block the penetration of hair growth stimulators; which only work at the dermal papilla level. Also, if a weak hair
is not strong enough to fight through the sebum, it will curl
up and die prematurely. Scalp Therapy is designed to dissolve sebum build-up on the scalp, promoting the penetration of our growth stimulators such as MGT and Re-Stim, and, allowing hair to grow beyond the surface of the skin.

BM not sure if that question about sebum is directed to anyone specifically but I can see where sebum buildup could prevent topicals from being effective. I would imagine that the sebum is there to protect the body and help to prevent foreign substances from entering €¦ €¦ €¦..it would seem to be logical but maybe someone else has more knowledge in that area.

Regarding the butter which is pure fat same with the coconut oil. Most people are simply afraid especially when it comes to consuming these types of products. Now when we start talking about it not being pasteurized the fear grows tenfold. Where did that fear come from, who placed it there and what were the reasons. Of course one can research the subject but when one actually lives it and for a very long time they can easily say much of what they thought to be true is simply false.

A quick example of irrational fear would be if I were to place 2 food products in front of you. I cup contained ice cream and the other butter. The ice cream is store bought and the butter is from a local farmer where the milk has not been pasteurized but the cows ate only their natural diet. Which product would you pick to be safest to eat €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦of course the majority would pick the ice cream. But the fact is in my opinion, ice cream is one of the most carcinogenic foods you can eat. It €™s like cancer in a cup. The reason being is that the fat content is so high and all those estrogenic hormones fed to the cow get stored in the fat and now you are eating it along with the sugar that helps feed the cancer. The butter on the other hand is very high in vitamin D, omega 3 fatty acids and conjugated linoleic acid which all help prevent cancer and that is just for starters. The butter is actually much safer to eat but one €™s association with butter is heart attack and one €™s association with ice cream is pleasure so changing that association is next to impossible without a complete understanding of the subject. Since most will not take that time they will just defer to the experts. Who are these experts and who €™s message do they deliver?

Hi Garageland thank you for the comment. I think the donor is really starting to become the deciding factor. Sure I could probably use chest hair but I €™m not too sure I want to do that. It doesn €™t seem like it would be worth the effort at least in my case. I do like to push anything I do to the limit for some reason but it €™s starting to look like I €™m approaching the limit.

I €™m actually okay with my hair now. Sure if I didn €™t need to use concealer that would be nice. Constantly have to clean up the mess does become a pain but there are worse things in life.

Garageland the concealer is a pain in many ways but it is necessary.

Here is a funny story I might have posted this already. I went to Macedonia this past summer to visit my wife €™s family. Well my wife traveled ahead and I left about 5 days later. When I arrived I got called out to have my bags checked. The customs officials pulled out everything in my bag completely and wanted to know what all these sprays were €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦.lol €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦..can you imagine. Plus on top of that I had brought some stevia which is a sweetener in a plastic bag and I also brought some cocoa which I use. So I have two bags one with white powder and the other with brown powder €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦..lol €¦ €¦ €¦..it was a very intense moment. I told them the spray was just hair spray and they seemed to give me that look like they were studying me trying to figure out if I was up to something. Why does this guy need 3 cans of hair spray. It was actually 2 cans of concealer in case something went wrong with one and one can of hair spray. Yeah it €™s funny now but not so funny when it happened.
