Hi guys

Does any 1 think gum decease or wisdom teeth can have an effect on hair loss?
I have had on going teeth problems causing me lack of sleep and my hair seems to be thinning in conjunction , I'm still taking meds .

thanks

Hi mdfc, I have never heard of any of these conditions causing hair loss and can't see how they cause permanent loss to be honest.

Looking at your recent pic do you think propecia is still working for you?
It appears similar to my case that it is isn't . I quit it years ago due to minimal benefits, slight side effects and didn't like the idea of it at all.

Could be worth getting the drs opinion on it as your remaining hair could be permanent looking at your loss pattern. So propecia may be a waste of time.
The route I choose to go was my loss pattern was fairly well established and decided to just replace with transplants and ditch meds. As they didn't really work on the thinning area in the first place similar to you .

I've not heard of a link between the two either although if it's causing you to stress that may cause some hairloss. If you go see your HT doctor ask if you can have a miniaturization test.

I can only go by my own experience. I never stopped taking finasteride when my son was conceived, he was born with no no problems. I had been on it for about a year.
Good to see you back.

Some guys do say that Finasteride has decreased their fertility chances by making their Semen more watery. If you feel this may affect your chances maybe it is a good idea to stay off for the suggested month to see how it goes and hopefully your wife conceives.
Good luck with it.
All the best.

Hello people , it`s only been 2 years since my last post but thought I would just let you know after stopping the Propecia for 3 months my wife became pregnant with twins. I am sure it was linked. We had identical girls, I`m now ready for hair transplant number 2 and in the process of choosing a clinic. Cost is a factor this time so I`m considering turkey. Thoughts?

Congratulations on the birth of your twins, you`ll have your work cut out.
As for your next hair transplant, there are a few Turkish clinics on here to check out.

Hi bigMac
Thanks mate , yes defiantly thrown straight in the deep end with twins but love it . To be honest, if I had the money I would choose dr bisanga in a heartbeat, I just can`t justify it now with 2 babies that need stuff more than I need hair. I`ve been looking at Dr. Spammer in Istanbul , has anyone had any experiences with this clinic or have any advise? The maximum I can spend is £4000 and I prob need about 3000 grafts transplanted. Dr. Spammer sells hair transplants that he uses nurses to extract grafts and he does the incisions for 1990 euros but I asked how much for him to carry out the whole operation and it`s 3900 euros.
Thanks

I`ve not met any of his patients in person so can`t say how good the work is. Online it looks fine.
Having the twins will be expensive but worth it.

Hi

I wasn`t sure whether to start a new review or stay on the same one but I chose to keep updating on this one. Iv just had another hair transplant this time in turkey with dr Emrah Spammer in Istanbul mainly due to the price and many detailed reviews I`ve seen online and chats I`ve had online with previous patients. They managed to extract 3100 grafts from my donor area and I`m guessing that`s my lot so fingers crossed it`s a success. I`m happy with how it all went and decided to stay in turkey for 3 extra days to heal a bit. Please let me know what you think.

That's a decent amount of grafts that should produce a nice result. On your pre op, it looks like you'd continued to lose native hair resulting in you needing this 2nd HT, is this the case?
I don't recall if you're using any meds to prevent hair loss, are you?

Hi bigmac
Yes, I'll have been on Propecia for 10 years now, i has to stop for 9 months whilst trying for a baby and my hair went missing fast. Back on it now. I`m going to upload a couple more pics of where I am now, I think you had to move them from my gallery last time if you don`t mind doing it again.
Thanks
