FUE without shaving recipient site

I know you really don't want to shave dude and I totally get why, but if you have done your research and your chosen doctor prefers to shave would you actually be prepared to bite the bullet even though your not happy to?....or is it a total no go mate?

It's not a total no go. I just think I'd be able to get away with it easier if I don't shave. Take a months holiday or so and do a bit of travelling and by that stage the sides will have grown a bit. I always wear hat except when I'm in work. If I shave then it's really noticeable to everyone and that's something I don't want. I think it'd take about a year for my hair to go back to how it is now and that's a long time to wait.

So why don't you start shortening your hairs way ahead of the treatment???
This way all know that you have a new look. Nobody is going to get fired over short hair, right?
So when you come back after the treatment you have short hair, but nobody will bother much since your look has not changed.
think about it, it work for A LOT of our patients.

It isn't work I'm worried about really. More friends family. How do you explain you went from bald before a holiday to having a hairline after? I have nearly no hair at the front at the minute but can disguise how bad it is by brushing forward.

Well, this is the game we all have to go through.
I just told all about my goals and I still believe it was the easiest road for me.

Yeah it has to be done it seems. It won't stop me just makes things a bit more stressful. I definitely won't be telling everyone though. It just wouldn't be worth it.

Could you have the sides cut short with the hair long enough on top to comb forward still, then it won't be so bad having your FUE as people will be use to seeing you with short hair.

It's an idea, bigmac. I use some of my side hair, along with my fringe to cover the front, though.
