Hair systems for smaller thinning areas

I had been going down the transplant route but am not getting on with the meds so may switch to a hair system.

Right now I have a patch across the crown that is very thin. A bit worse than the guy on the left middle cell of the pic below but not as bad as the guy on the right middle cell.

Is that bad enough for a hair system? I'm not sure if there's a minimum size for these things.

Do they just make it to fit the thinning area or do you shave back a bigger area?

There are various options available. Do you have a picture showing the area of loss? There are a few different options for meds too.
