Hi Stublue

Thank you for sharing your experience with us.

I am in a similar situation as you and would very much appreciate some advice. I have been looking into finding the right HT Clinic for FUE surgery and have narrowed my search down to Dr.Bisanga at BHR and Dr.Feriduni.

I have requested an online consultation with both, what are the essential questions I need to ask in my consultations? I am unable to travel to Belguim just for a consultaion alone so are there questions I should definately get answers to from the clinics before commiting to any procedure?

Any advice would be greatfully received

Thanks for reading! ;)

Hi Mjone,

Yeah I pretty much narrowed it down to those 2 too and then obviously went for Dr. Bisanga. I have done a reasonable amount of research on both and as far as I can tell either clinic/doctor is an excellent choice.

I suppose I ended up picking Bisanga as its handier to get to from the airport and it is a little cheaper! I also got in touch with a few of Bisanga's ex-patients via the various forums and every one of them recommended the clinic. I asked them loads of questions with regards recovery time, travel, aftercare, facilities, meds (i have decided to give up finasteride due to libido issues). Don't be afraid to ask anything no matter how stupid you might think it is. I know I certainly did! Just go onto the various forums and find guys who have had an FUE procedure with Bisanga and then PM them. Nearly all of them got back to me.

Also Stephen from BHR (he will prob answer your online consultation) has been a great help and has answered all the questions I have thrown at him. I asked about manual vs automatic tools, punch size used, use of meds, recovery time, travel needs, etc.

It really is a tough one to chose between these 2 but as i said I think either choice is a winner.

Hope this helps.

hey stublue,
in response to your question about saw palmetto,
i was taking propecia for around 2 years and it def stopped my hairline receding further, but also started to give me sides like weak libido etc.
i took a year off all meds and started to recede again so started taking saw palmetto and it seems to have halted more loss and as yet no sides but then i didnt have any of propecia until a year in and ive only been trying saw palmetto for a few months.
i think i definately helps (im seeing a lot less loss)and for the price its worth a go mate.
i am looking into having a consult in person with dr Bisanga in april, so is it poss to pm you some questions after your procedure to ask about the experience?
cheers and good luck

Hi slapstick2, yeah absolutely feel free to contact me. I'll be posting my experience and progress on this site also as i think it will be a good point of reference. Bring on Feb 14th! Some valentines day.

With regards saw palmetto i may give it a go after the HT. I believe Stephen (BHR rep) takes it so ill ask him about it.

yeah i asked steve about saw palmetto before i started taking it, not long now then it will fly by. i wish i had already taken the plunge to be fair but i still have a little to save. i could get out a loan to pay for it all but as i have 3 kids who need things more than i need hair, i will have to wait! lol
but it wont be long hopefully towards the end of the year :)

good luck mate and i will def be in contact to find out how it went!
cheers

Hi Stublue,

Good luck with your hair transplant, I have had 3 to date in Dublin with fantactic results (see attached my photos) after 3 transplants. My first was at 21, then 24 and now at 27 in April.

I am living in Dublin if you like to skype, Joseph.Feury, hope your transplant goes great.

Hi Stublue,
I found your comments regarding Ailesbury very interesting. I have an appointment scheduled with Ailesbury clinic for an AHI hair transplant procedure in the near future. I am just wondering what have you heard about Ailesbury or do you know anyone who has something done with them? I really don't want to make a mistake of doing the procedure with them and its a disaster. Their consultation seemed professional but If I'm honest I didn't go for any other consultation as a lot of others seemed very expensive.
Any info would be helpful. Cheers.
