Hair Transplant Clinics Turkey

Hi everyone. I’m 56 and traveling to Istanbul to get a hair transplant this May (2023). After researching the various methods utilized for hair transplant, it seems that the Sapphire technique, which involves making incisions on the scalp with a sapphire blade and placing grafts with forceps into those incisions, and the “sharp implantation technique”, or DHI, which uses a hair implanter pen and eliminates the need for pre-made incisions, are the better techniques for various reasons.

There are many clinics offering these services and finding a clinic that states that they have done 1 million operations etc appears to be the norm.

What is the most important thing though, the aesthetics of the transplanted hair follicles, has not been easy to find reviews about. Maybe once you’ve had the operation and even if your hairline looks artificial - you rather fool yourself and not “see it”.

Therefore, what I would love to get from you guys is advise on which are the best surgeons out there in turkey, rather than the best clinics.

Any experiences? MANY THANKS FOR ANY HELP YOU CAN GIVE ME.

What clinics/doctors have you narrowed it down to?

As you already have mentioned both of these techniques have their own advantages and both can produce good results indeed. In the end, it is the surgeon's hands which uses the material, so you should choose a legit and socially proven surgeon before even thinking about different methods. Ultimately it depends on the skill and experience of the surgeon performing the procedure.

It's fairly easy to notice that artificiality when a hair transplant patient got his treatment from places I will not suggest you as long as you are not on a very narrow budget. There are places scheduling 8-10 patients per day per surgeon in Turkey. Daily/Yearly more number of operations = Less care & quality treatment per patient. Rather than focusing on the transplant method, my first advice to you would be searching for clinics/surgeons providing customized design in hair transplantation in Turkey.

Dear Garfie,
As a surgeon who owns a clinic in Turkey, it is neither ethical nor my place to say which clinic is good and which is bad, or to advertise any clinic. For any further matter, if you can contact my team they will gladly clarify your questions. Stay safe!
