Hi LSK I work out a lot found this quite frustrating. There is differing opinions from doctors some say 14 days some say 1 month best be safe anyway!
I was also workout 5-6 day a week, they told me a month but i got back in the gym after 2 weeks. The progress is good so far, i will post few photos in few weeks when i reach 5 month mark, i cut my hair really short because it was different length

Whatyawant, did you wait the full month?

Good to know, Vik. 2 weeks isn't so bad. Although at the moment I can't even go for a walk as I feel like shit! Haven't left the house since getting home Tuesday night.

Hey man yeah I was stuck in the house for about 8 days until I could put a hat on! I didn't work out for a month but I went for long walks after two weeks! Without sweating and at a slow pace! I think the reason they say don't exercise is the increase in blood pressure! That pump pump you feel when your heart raises however there is so much conflicting information from so many doctors it's madness!
Stick with it nothing else you can do but the next few weeks are hard buddy!

Thanks buddy, how is it going for you? By the way if you zoom in on the pictures, you will see that frontal area is still pink ish, so don't worry about it at all

It's not too bad seeing a good few hairs coming through now and I'm 8 weeks Friday so fingers crossed. I think your only supposed to shampoo the hair every 3 days or else you can damage the hair is that not correct? All the best with the growing! what medication are you taking? I'm on the finasteride and vitamins they gave me

I am not sure about shampooing it once every 3 days to be honest with you. I am just taking the vitamins, tried fin but i had some bad side effects so i got rid of it. Glad that you are starting to see few hairs comming through, my growth started roughly at the same time

That is quite a lot Vik, but it is nice to have clean hair. I usually wash mine once a day but have been thinking about cutting back as it is supposedly bad for your hair.

I'm only on day 10 post HT :( Is it normal to still have a lot of scabs? Tbh I haven't been massaging the shampoo in as I'm scared of knocking out any grafts. I'm probably being too overly cautious.

Yeah buddy, i think my scabs fell off at 2 weeks or so, take it easy for the next few days, after that it should be fine to be honest with you. I wash my hair twice with shampoo and if i train twice a day, third time is just with water without any shampoo

Hey vik apparently you should only shampoo every 3 days as its bad to do so more! LSK I massaged mine scabs off after about 13 days! As told by cosmedica, you should check out Dr Bernstein with regard to the grafts apparently after 9 days the grafts are set so relax a bit moe after then. How are you finding the whole process afterwards?

Wouldn't worry about shampooing your head mate. I washed mine every day from about 5 days post op. Better for your head to be clean to encourage the new growth in my opinion, didn't do me any harm.

Good to know. Is it normal to see some hairs in the fallen scabs?
I thought I would get the HT and then just sit back, relax and watch the hair grow. Nope! It has actually been extremely stressful. I don't think I could go through this again.

Steven, how long did you wait before resuming exercise after your HT?

1 week. I did everything they tell you not too and have still ended up with a great result and I'm still only at 6 months post-op. I think a lot of what they tell you is precautionary.

Thanks. Think I need to follow your lead and worry a bit less.
Have you been taking biotin, etc?
