Hair Transplant without Propecia

How safe is it to have a small size hair transplant without the use of Propecia? I was thinking somewhere in the region of 2000 grafts added to whats left of my hair line and add some density behind it. I`m probably a nw3 looking at the chart, no hair loss in the crown, with thick bushy hair around the sides and back.

I`m unable to use Propecia with the other medications I take for a health issue. Was thinking of having a hair piece fitted but I`ve read they can do more damage to the scalp and remaining hair. A fue would probably be my best bet I believe, if I lost more hair there the long scar may become visible.

There are many accounts of people having this done. Certain things, minitirization, balding pattern, family history, age and donor supply will be taken into consideration. One thing you don't want is a dense wall of hair along the hair line and zilch behind it. It will have to be planned out artistically by the doctor taking into account any future loss.

As long as you proceed with a conservative approach so you're not using up too much of your donor, I can't see why you wouldn't be able to have a hair transplant. There are many patients who get ht's without using meds. It's important for you to go with a clinic who will work with you to restore your hair with a more cautious plan.

I think Propecia can be useful to have in your regimen, but it is not a must. If you don't like it due to side-effects or simply because you don't want to be committed for years, you can go without it.
