Hairline appearance - how natural?

If I had a new hairline transplanted 1-2 cm's lower than it is now would it be undetectable?The hair from the donor regions appears coarser than the natural fine hairs that make a hairline which would make for an unnatural looking hairline.If enough suitable single hair grafts were found in the donor regions is there a possibility that they may be lost years down the road? Thus rendering the hairline coarse and easy detectable as a hair transplant.

There is usually enough finer single hairs to make a natural looking hairline, some grafts containing more than one hair will be cut into singles too if needed.Every one has the possibility of losing transplanted hair, this is rare though as the harvested donor area is usually safe from Mpb.

Rogerson every head of hair is different and it depends on your personal hair characteristics. Some guys can get away with single hairs from the occipital zone in the hairline. For instance and this is just generally speaking guys from Italy, Mexico, India seem to have darker thicker caliber hairs even in the hairline so it €™s not as much of an issue. Those with finer, lighter hairs in the hairline are simply not going to look natural with thicker darker hairs from their occipital zone in their hair line so they need to have hairs harvested outside of that zone on the periphery which can only be accomplished with FUE.

Here is an experiment I believe should be mandatory of all prospective HT patients. Take some honey or maple syrup and apply it to the hair line zone. Now cut some hairs from the occipital zone and stick them to that same area. How well does it blend in with the surrounding hair?

There is no standard answer to your question regarding how many grafts are needed to lower a hairline. How big is your head? What type of caliber hairs do you have? What is the surrounding density? €¦ €¦.etc €¦ €¦ €¦too many unknowns €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦go in for some consultations in person or online €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦..then start cross references opinions €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦ €¦

Hi my hairline looks more natural now a couple of years down the line because the colour and fineness look the same. so the results you see in pics after a year after HT is not necessarily the final result.

Concerning the restoration of the hairline we can imitate nature by using scalp's single hair follicle grafts at the very first row, by implanting them in a zig-zag line and by restoring the density depending on the patient €™s age and expectations as well as his grade of alopecia and the possible development. Lowering the hairline is not an issue if it is agreed based on the above parameters. The healing of the recipient skin is another issue that protects the natural look of the hairline and it depends on the technique and the specialist €™s expertise. Local mesotherapy of the skin may help to improve its appearance.

In order to imitate Nature regarding the fine thin hairs which naturally exist at the very first row of everyone €™s hairline, we can use fine single follicular grafts from the lower occipital area and its actual border with the neck. The hairs are thinner there yet there are two problems:1) the transection rate is unpredictable and 2) since these hairs are considered to be body hairs there may be a less hair growth rate.

The result a few years after the transplantation is not the same but rather finer that the immediate post-op and this has to do with the total recovery of the skin and its components including the hairs.

Looks awesome that Rich Tea, As well as the your own hair characteristics playing a crucial part obviously, i would say that finding a doctor who is experienced in creating natural looking hairlines is vital. There are thousands of Hair restoration clinics out there but not so many that can create a natural looking hairline. Do some research and look at the doctors section on here as a starting point.
