Hairline Recession Right Side of Hairline

Hi all, my first post here, I`ve been losing hair on the right side of my hairline and temple area`s over a period of several years... its now very noticeable. The left side has thinned out slightly, I comb my hair left to right to cover the right side... however if its windy, raining or someone touches my hair the balding area is exposed. I apply DermMatch to conceal the area best I can.

I`ve tried various Hairloss products including Minoxidil to no avail, my hair is still thinning. I`m thinking maybe I should have a FUE surgery to fill the area but concerned if I lose more hair I`d have to continue with more surgery.... thus I could be fighting a losing battle.

How can I tell if more hair is miniaturizing? Is there some method I can use to accurately check this?

If you have an in person consultation the doctor should be able to check for miniaturization and advise you accordingly, a small Fue session should be ok for you providing your donor supply is adequate which I assume it is.
Have you any pictures of your hairline you can post.
Cheers Bm.

Will a clinic do the miniaturization test if it's a free consultation?

Yes they should be able to do it, get a couple of consults to be sure.

Hair loss is a universal indicator for aging. Hair is one of the few body parts that you can actually influence yourself. You can grow hair long, cut it off, you can wave it, dye it, or pull it back in a pony-tail. It serves as a form of self-expression. As people start to lose this form of self-expression, they can become depressed, unhappy and withdrawn

Yes a doctor will do a miniaturization test usually during your initial consultation. I know you say you have tried various hair products such as Minoxidil but are you on Propecia/Finasteride?
Going back to the miniaturization subject do any of the clinics use this Haircheck device and how does it work?

Hi all, quick update on my situation. I had 600 grafts implanted 3 months ago... Some of the hairs are starting to grow now outlining what's to come. I'm happy with my decision to have fue, will call back when I have more to report.
Best wishes to everyone coping with hairloss.
