Handy tip for preventing night scratching post-op

Howdy,
I have recently had a FUE ht. I will post about it in the fullness of time with pix etc.

But for now I wanted to share a quirky little tip that worked to stop me scratching post op, something that I was v concerned about.

I stayed in a hotel for about a week post op and due to lock down was severely limited as to what I could buy in. I didn't have a dressing gown cord or anything obvious to tie my hands to stop scratching but I knew I needed to do something to keep my wandering nighttime hands from disturbing those beautiful grafts.

But desperation is the mother of all invention and so it was in my case.

The humble dirty boxer short came to my aid. You can try this now to see how it works.

Lay on your back. Place your hands on your lap. Put each hand in a leg hole of your underwear. Keeping one hand still, twist the other hand one or two times until you have a slightly tight but comfortable pair of underwear handcuffs. Now if you lift a hand to scratch at night, you end up punching yourself in the face!

No more scratching.

Definitely a different approach. I’d have used a clean pair.

About 5 days. But it was only really bad for three of those.

At least you were in lockdown so could hide away.
