Harley Street clinic any good?

TC. Sorry don't agree with you there.

I can see your point but Rooney wouldn't have researched this himself though you can be sure his personal physician would have, as would his insurers and club. To me this is as strong an endorsement as you are likely to see.

Someone as molly-coddled and protected wouldn't have just simply walked in off the street.

Next, lets see what the results are like.

Yeah look forward to seeing his results progress as he should of had their best attention more so than joe public atleast so lets see what it turns out like if it is infact a true story and not just a wind up ! lol. If it turns out good clinic makes alot of money if poor or average like most other u.k hts that I have seen his physician probably didnt due his research properly as most general docs know sweet f.a about HT he certainly didnt reasearch on the forums otherwise he wouldnt have gone their lol as u,k has a shit rep lets face it and its not hard to acertain this fact with a simple google search is it !!. anyone who knows anything about HT knows farjo is best is U.K even if they are not as good as the top tier. Happy growing Wayne !

Farjo may be very good indeed but he doesn't do FUE does he? And that's my point, at some point somebody in the UK will crack FUE and that only has to be a good thing doesn't it?

At least with a case as high profile as Rooney they'll be no escape for this clinic and the results will speak for themsleves no?

Ive heard nothing but good things regarding the Farjo clinic. No harm in trying a consultation with them.

I hear (from another source) that the Harley Street Hair Clinic is snowed under and not replying to potential clients.

Yeah it might be I'm not certain it is the same. I found the link on another forum.

I can't wait to see Rooney's end result which could make or break the London Harley Street clinic.

That's right El Nino, an HT as high profile as Rooney's especially FUE here in the UK is defiantely make or break!

Just wish I knew which doc did it?

I don't usually post on these forums, but i saw "Mars's" comment on here from last year saying that you'd need to go abroad if you want a reliable job done! That's rubbish. he's obviously had a bad experience with 1 surgeon and thinks thats applicable to the whole of the UK!

I used these guys .hshairclinic.co.uk in London, 3 & 1/2 years ago, and I found them to be very efficient, freindly and professional on the day and in the consultation before hand. so much so, that i returned again last year to have a top up! okay, It's not particularly cheap (who is though?) but I would reccomend them for FUE. And for the benefit of anybody reading this, who hasnt had the procedure done before, yes it is a bit painful at first during the extraction (even with the local anesthetic to numb your head), then it becomes just a bit uncomfortable...and then eventually you get used to it, so that in my case I almost fell asleep!

Hope that helps somebody out there!

Well, I wouldn't go there, its very easy to hop on a train to Brussels, with the exception of Farjo, the UK is terrible for HT surgery. Glad that you had a good experience there though.

Probably best to remove the link aswell, if you read the rules you would know it does state that you can't provide links of this nature.

How far post op is Rooney these days....is he at the magical 3 months stage yet?

Can't wait to follow his progress

We now have the answer....Rooney's hair looks incredible!

So to all the doubters, and confirming what bounce posted, decent FUE is now available in the UK

Just seen him on a football pitch, sky clip so won't be long before you'll find a picture somewhere tonight.

Think it's tranformed him and looks really good work at this stage, the clinic must be thrilled.

I agree it does look good at this very early stage. But my question is would the average joe walking in off the street get the same treatment?

I would also be wary of judging a clinic on one single result. When the best of the best have been producing and displaying great results for years..

What you say is true ElNino of course, one swallow & summers etc.

But Bounce100 has said good things about this clinic also and the results thus far seem very good. With the UK getting such a bad HT rap here especially with FUE it is nice to be optimistic for a change! We should give them a chance, no?

Many cannot travel abroad for all sorts of reasons and ultimately there will be good FUE here, it's only a question of time. It may be that The Harley Street Hair Clinic is excellent but extremely expensive or that the Rooney case is possibly a 'one off' but to many that won't matter if the end result on him looks this good.

I met with a representative of a Belgian clinic myself sometime ago and was extremely impressed and booked an appointment to see the doctor. However, after looking into the complexities of my own insurances, both professional and personal I had to back out; and forget about any thoughts of foreign medical treatment. Having said that I wouldn't blame anyone for travelling the globe to get the treatment they were happy with especially if they don't have the logistical and insurance implications that I have.

I intend to wait awhile longer before I do anything but when things calm down alittle for this clinic I may well book an appointment. When that happens I will of course report back here.

In the meantime I would really like to know who did the Rooney FUE

I've seen a fairly close up pic of Rooney and he doesn't look incredible at all, he barely has any hair at all in the recipient areas, and nor should he as he's only about 2 months post op.

There isn't any way to make the hair come in quicker, it's gonna take 12-18 months to see the final result. I'm not saying he won't look good when the time comes, but that time isn't yet.

Also a lot of the crappy papers are reporting he spent 30K on this, he didn't it was 12K.

he looks to be grey though. below is a recent newspaper article regarding this...thoughts?

WAYNE ROONEY €™S ROOT TO THE TOP

THE director of the Harley Street clinic where Wayne Rooney had his hair transplant has reassured the star his slightly greying hair is €œperfectly normal €“ and temporary. €

Fans were surprised by Wayne's appearance when he played on Sunday after his £30,000 transplant to give himself back his full head of hair.

His hair has lost some natural colour and faded to a light grey sparking fears the transplant failed.

But Nadeem Uddin Khan, director of the Harley Street Hair Clinic, said: €œIt isn €™t possible to judge the full effect of a transplant for at least 6-12 months. While the roots re-establish themselves, the growth on top can be patchy and this can involve some initial loss or discolouration.

€œThis is entirely normal and does not affect the ultimate outcome of a fully restored hairline. €
