Has anyone had a large SMP tattoo or seen one in person?

Not at all but it almost looked as he did it himself, the ink had turned bluish, yet no one noticies it's not shaved hair.

The guy I met had his procedure at Hishairclinic.

All depends on what happens to the inks, where do they go when they fade? do they totally fade?

ya milena lardi's ink completely fades without colour change..jotronic and dr hasson both got the temp smp done so that says something about it

Yes, when Brandy wanted to close the sale and he sensed any doubt on the patient €™s part he would wheel in the brother-in-law who was part of the surgical team to show that he too had the hairlift procedure performed on him. Yes I was very dumb back then but now I pick up on these little things and I guess that is why I €™m became such an avid reader and like to annoy others with information. Don €™t blame me blame these guys.

Mars when is your SMP procedure and will you be starting a thread with some up close pictures at regular intervals so everyone can evaluate your progress?

Ya im getting it done the end of jan..will def start a thread an update every month until it fades to an unacceptable level,i should also mention if the smp doesnt do a sufficent job especially at a one guard and makes do diffenence after a one guard then i wont be buzzing it short enough to take pics,i have a bad feeling it will only work at a zero guard that being the clippers with no guard not a bic razor.

Okay Mars it will be interesting to see the result so thanks ahead of time and I hope it meets your expectations.

I have just learned to be very sceptical and cautious and I do have to laugh at how we can see something so different and there is nothing wrong with that. You see Dr. Hasson having it done and think wow it must be good if he was willing to do it and I see it and think wow why would a ht doctor at his age decide to tattoo his head.

Makes no difference to me that Jotronic and Dr Hasson had it done, they are in the trade and have a vested interest in promoting this.

Jotronic also had multiple HT's but that doesn't mean it's a good idea.

I do wish you luck with yours though, I think it would make a positive difference for you, but I worry that it wouldn't completely fade, and if it doesn't, does it change colour? I guess these questions will be answered in the years to come.

You going to Milan for this?

Thanks for the well wishes,my worry is it will fade too fast rather than anything else.

The colour change issue of will it turn blue or green?from what i have read their is no blue or green colous used in the making of say the colour black so it cant change colour to green or blue, the cosmetic effectivness i think will be lost around 6-8months but two years for the colour to be 100% gone.As it fades i suppose the clour changes to a lighter shade but not to a different colour.

Belli capelli forum had loads of pics at different stages.

Yes going to milan, its the only place i would go to being honest, dont fancy the permanent one.

I don €™t know if I went to a dentist that had all his teeth capped I would be okay with that. But if he was doing piercings out of the same office it would probably raise my eyebrow. Maybe I €™m over thinking the whole thing.

Topcat i can see why clinics have an interest in adding smp,its all scalp related,i think the smp will be suitable for like 1 in 100 patients..scars especially usefull.

I like the idea of using it in scars so that scarred people can finally shave their heads, but not to straighten out peoples hairlines.

I don't like the permanent version either, that dancer guy on the documentary didn't look too good after going to hishair.

I wouldn't rule this out for myself, but I'm also not looking to get it done atm. I want to see more documented cases first.

Thanks topcat.

Sparky i think you re spot on..these guys with straight hairline will look ridiculous when they are 70 or 80.Give a look at belli capelli forum loads of cases there, one thing about some of the after pics have the residue from the smp on the scalp, scalp cant be washed for like a day or two.

Think it may work better for fue white dots than it will for strip scars.

I think so too,if the scar already had some fue in it or wasnt very wide to begin with it smp will give maybe 15-20% more camouflage, spex result is a good example, but on a wide-ish strip scar with no fue in it the smp will look too 2d.

4 awesome repairs with SMG
Does the permenant SMP heal similar to conventional tattoos with the scabs post op? if so how would you explain away a full head of scabs? And what happens if the scab gets knocked would you loose a chunk of pigment and need it doing again?.
