Have a little patience

Over the last few weeks i have had a few e mail inquiries from prospective patients that have had surgery at around the 6 month mark with different clinics, they wished to visit for a "second opinion", I respectfully pointed out that this is something that both we and they should not be doing at this time.
Explaining that it can take at least a year to see the outcome and often even longer and they should show faith in the clinic that they chose to use.
One of the best words to be used in our field as both a patient and a clinic......Patience.

The only time I see that a patient is eligible to see another doctor 6 months onwards is when it’s clear that the hair transplant is very sub standard. Things like very obvious low density, plugged hairlines due to multiple multis in the wrong areas.
If it’s just general growth concerns, then yes, be patient and wait.

Would you tell them to wait a full 12 months? Some on here have went back around 10 months and had a top-up agreed.

Assuming there is a genuine problem with their hair transplant. I think it is not only about wanting a repair there and then. But also seeking help and advice as they are probably not getting what they need from the clinic they went to. So can be a cry for help rather than just wanting a quick fix. Someone they feel will listen on the basis they may contact later after whatever result they achieve.
