Have opinions on Farjo clinic changed since they joined the doctor's section

Hello

I posted a question on this forum many months ago now regarding the possibility of a transplant in the UK at the Farjo clinic. At the time the response was generally negative and I was advised to avoid the UK at all costs for a HT. However it was commented that the Farjo clinic is probably the best in the UK for a HT and was worthy of consideration for strip techniques (but not FUE).

I was wondering if opinions had changed or improved since the Farjo clinic have started posting their work on this forum for scrutiny. The comments in the patient results do seem to be positive.

I appreciate that there are not many pictures 1 or 2 years post op yet to give an idea of the final result / final density that can be achieved at the clinic. However I would still be interested to know what the HT veterans of this forum think now they have had more chance to see the work carried out at the Farjo clinic.

Many thanks

I had seen plenty of work from Farjo before they started showcasing on here, and as far as strip work goes, they are the best in the UK at it no doubt. I think that if I had gone to them in 1998 whern I got hacked up by Norton then I would of had a much better job done, even back then.
They wouldn't of operated on me though as I was too young and any good clinic will see past the £ signs and counsel young patients and explain to them the pitfalls of having an HT at such a young age.

I'm not even a patient of Farjo, but I have still had phone calls from Mick asking how I'm doing. I know they feel bad for all the UK patients that didn't have good surgery with the bad UK clinics.

I am obviously biased having had 3 surguries with them, but the change in opinion since i started on these forums is phenomenal.

To be honest with the exception of Shapiro i wouldnt trust my head in any other surgeons hands.

I'm glad i saw through all the BS all those years ago,Dr F told me straight he couldnt work miracles,I was heading towards NW6 and had crap hair.

We decided a very conservative plan of action and it has worked(3rd op being all well and good)

Had i listened to all that guff being spouted by the so called educated, who knows what sort of situation i would be in now?

After appearing in a national paper recently a lady at my childs school (who has had some inhancements herself)remarked to my wife that she had no idea i had been under the knife. This was music to my ears.

As someone once said "Research Research Research" it really is that simple.

Thanks for your reply. You had 3 surgeries at the Farjo? Why wouldn't you use the clinics in Belgium? They seem to have a very good reputation on here.

Hi Balody, what do you mean the change in opinion is phenomenal? Do you mean opinions have improved? I hope so. It would be great to have confidence in the UK. You can certainly lose faith because of the anti-UK talk on forums.
