We present the case of a Norwood Class 5 patient who still had some native hair separating the front–top from the crown. Our goal was to restore the front and mid‑scalp while preserving donor resources for a future crown procedure (FUE2).
A total of 4500 grafts were extracted and placed strategically. The result shown is almost 1 year post‑operation, and we also include photos of the 6th‑day healing, which demonstrate our refined surgical technique.
Evaluation of a Hair Transplant: Two Critical Considerations
Any hair transplant must be judged by both:
1. The Donor Area
The health and appearance of the donor area determine the long‑term sustainability of the result. At HDC Hair Clinic, we ensure:

Final Thoughts
A hair transplant is an important investment in your appearance. The donor area is finite, and the decisions taken today will affect your hair for the rest of your life. For this reason, you should never compromise on technique, experience, or planning.

Evaluation of a Hair Transplant: Two Critical Considerations
Any hair transplant must be judged by both:
1. The Donor Area
The health and appearance of the donor area determine the long‑term sustainability of the result. At HDC Hair Clinic, we ensure:
- No Donor depletion – both immediately after surgery and one year later.
- Homogeneous extraction – grafts are taken evenly with equal spacing, so no area appears thinner than others.
- Minimal scarring – we use very small punches and avoid deep punching. This allows us to safely extract more grafts long‑term compared to clinics that over‑harvest or use aggressive techniques.
- Two‑day sessions for large cases – for procedures above 2800 grafts, we intentionally spread the work over two days. This improves donor management and maximizes value for the patient.
For the transplanted area, our focus is always on naturality, long‑term planning, and refined surgical execution:
- Single‑hair grafts at the hairline to achieve a soft and natural front.
- Correct angulation, direction, and pattern so the patient can style their hair freely without relying on specific hairstyles to hide imperfections.
- Sapphire blades for recipient site creation, ensuring minimal trauma, faster healing, and minimal scarring.
- Proper hairline design and surgical strategy – positioning the hairline at the right height and angle for natural appearance today and a sustainable look in the future, considering ongoing hair loss.
