Hair loss may occur if female or male hormones, known as androgens and estrogens, are out of balance.

Hello, I'm sorry to report that I have taken vitamin supplements specifically for hair which have cost hundreds of pounds (hairtopia for example) and I have never seen a change in hair loss. At one point I did notice my hair grow slightly faster but it made no difference to my receding hairline at the temples and I didn't really expect it to - I just though I should at least try

@Sunbeam:
If you don't find any gud results, don't stick to only one treatment. Try the best and effective hair treatment - Leimo. Then, see the results.

Hope it helps a lot.

Hi Indigo,
Your Hormones if unbalanced can cause hairloss to any part of your body, go visit your doctor as the first step.

Best wishes Sunbeam.

Thanks bm.

Did you try the regime of vitamins in the end BM? I know msm works for speeding up growth but I've never tried the others

NEVER take supplements, or hair growth, etc. without your doctor's OK. HEAT & CHEMICALS are hair's worst enemies. You've got any of those on your hair? Supplements, medications, anti-acne products, hair oil, birth control pills, pollution in the water, to name just a few . . . ALL HAVE SIDE EFFECTS. Watch the movie called SIDE EFFECTS. Example: "I used minoxidil drug to restore the hair on my head; however, I ended up with unwanted body hair. I don't know if it is temporary or I have to seek medical treatment." YA poster 9-27-12. Four men are charged in federal court for selling home-brewed hair growth drugs online. Any reactions to a drug - like Vitamin B complex which is a supplement - 'side effect' is a negative reaction to a drug - this is your body telling you that what you just gave it is toxic to it, and instead of helping you, it is actually hurting you. It is your body's way of telling you to stop. All drugs have side effects, and are toxic...even lethal...to some people at some dosage. Another term for toxic is poisonous. We owe it to ourselves to try less toxic treatments first. Especially since too many drugs merely cover up symptoms rather than treat the underlying cause of the symptom in the first place. Another example: Green Tea supplement: Green tea extract supplements have been linked to several cases of liver damage. Green tea extracts might make liver disease worse. Source: Health Magazine, FDA, Slate dot com Your hair is thinning? Avoid heat & chemicals = hair's worst enemies. Avoid tight hair styles, hair extensions, pony tails, etc. Dove hairfall facts: 1. Humidity makes hair dry and brittle, leading to hairfall 2. Colouring the hair damages the hair strands leading to breakage 3. Pollution is also an unseen killer of healthy hair 4. Tangled hair is the most common reason for hair fall 5. While shampooing cleanses your hair, regular conditioning is required for adequate moisturization. Regular use of conditioner post shampoo also solves the problem of entangling which is the major cause of hairfall. Traction alopecia is hair loss that occurs as a result of continuous pulling of the hair. Pulling may occur from hairstyles such as tight cornrows, plaits or braids with or without extensions, weaves, ponytails or even hair rollers or curlers. Natural hairstyles can also lead to traction alopecia as well. Long heavy locks and tightly coiled twists can lead to traction alopecia. The hair loss associated with traction alopecia typically occurs at the frontal hairline, at the temples or the area of the scalp above the ears. It may also occur at the posterior hairline.

1. Anti-androgenic therapy This therapy is particularly beneficial in the cases of hereditary hair thinning. The prevalence of hereditary hair thinning is one out of four among women in USA. In case of women, the version of this hair loss treatment is known as cyproterone acetate (CPA). In the case of man, excessive secretion of Di-hydrotestosterone (DHT) is found to be responsible for causing baldness as well as hair fall. If you are identified with the hair loss problem triggered by excess DHT secretion, it is quite common that your doctor will suggest you to undergo anti-androgenic therapy as the part of hair loss treatment. It is a time-consuming therapeutic approach that may last even for one year or more.
2.Hormonal Balancing It is quite possible if you are going through hair loss problems that you are having hormonal imbalance in your health system. It may occur due to menopausal stage, or if you have experienced recent pregnancy. Even acute stressors or traumatic experiences and anxieties may also cause hormonal disturbances. Specifically hormones secreted from pituitary gland and thyroid gland may cause hair loss problems, if imbalance occurs. In that case, you need to undergo through prescribed medicinal treatment as suggested by your doctor.
3. Hair Transplantation Hair transplantation is considered as one of the advanced therapeutic technique as a part of hair loss treatment. It can be done on both men and women. It promises you to provide fine line hair treatment which restores hair areas. In some cases, it is even hard to identify the area in the post-operative period. It is mainly done by stimulating hair follicles. This type of hair loss treatment is really expensive and is tough for everyone to take advantage of this treatment. Likewise any other surgical intervention, hair loss transplant includes a degree of risk associated with it. However, with the advanced technological help in medicinal area the risks have been possibly limited. Only, there is a chance of catching infection or pain during or after surgery. In some cases, bleeding also becomes an issue during surgical intervention.
4. Alternative Treatment Not everyone is really willing to depend on chemical based treatment, especially at the initial phases of the problem. Those individuals largely depend on alternative approaches like herbal or Ayurvedic treatment procedures. These types of treatments prescribe using a wide range of herbs such as Basil, Holy Basil, Neem, Tulsi, Aloe Vera and many others.
