How many grafts do I need?

Is it possible for someone on here to give me a rough idea of how many grafts I would need to fix my hairline?

I like this type of a case. You are obviously past the age of 35 so your hairloss should be stabilized. You have retained your frontal tuft. I would say no less than 2000-2200 first pass but probably more. But this is just an opinion and in no way medical advice. This is just an average in my opinion.

I would estimate 2000 to 2500 grafts to cover the area I can see on your pictures.
Have you tried meds to help maintain your hair.

Have tried use the Rogaine Foam and the Finasteride ,their are some awesome results out their using this combination , I have had a good response myself even though I have had procedures , if you can try and stabilize the loss with meds its a winner , have a look in the medications section on the forum plenty information their , keep researching

You're getting fin from a brick'n'mortar pharmacy, and not from something online, right? I'd give it at least a year before I try and judge whether its helping you or not. You might not see great regrowth but you might see weaker areas of hair generally thicken up and halt further loss.

I agree with ziggs. Its not a matter of regrowth necessarily. It may take up to a year for a good opinion on whether or not finasteride works for you. I also agree with the bricks and mortar pharmacy comment. Several patients have stated to me personally that they ordered finasteride from online pharmacies from Turkey or India and they were not the real deal. The reason that they came to that conclusion was that they finally succumbed to a "bricks and mortar" pharmacy and began to have a positive result.
I agree with Dazz on the addition of minoxidil in addition to the finasteride.

This to me is the most important part of taking meds. If you get regrowth thats awesome but if you manage to slow or stop the hairloss then you are creating foundations for a good Hair transplant.

You can address the hairline but to me it looks like the whole frontal 1/2 will need to be addressed. I'm guessing 3000-3500 in order to address frontal 1/2 but I'm going by the first picture. You'll need to post a top down picture to get a more accurate estimate.

Yea I'm having my doctor prescribe the Fin, I'll stick with it as I have no sides from using it. Janna I will try to take a decent picture of the top.
