How much minoxidil for women?

Hi All,

Im new to this medication lark and have just consulted a doc who does HT. He suggested I try minoxidil 5% as it would be 'worth a try'. Im happy to do so but in my limited research I keep seeing just 2% for women. (I am a women) Which is the latest advice? Can anyone assist please?

It basically says can leave the hair greasier for longer than the 2% so harder to style quickly and more rarely can grow dacial peach fuzz.

Many thanks for your quick reply. Bit scared by the facial hair comment, be just my luck to grow hair on my face and none on my head! Will read the info you suggested.

Any ladies out there used 5% minoxidil?
