How soon can you do SMP on a stretched FUT scar post-op?
Do you have to wait a while for the scar to heal?

I’d wait at least 6 months. I’d also reach out to an SMP provider to ask this question.

SMP is supposed to last 3-5 years ... so what happens after that?
Does the treatment fade completely or will it look odd and require more treatments?

I believe it is supposed to last 3-6 years. 4-6 years I`d say you’re one of the lucky ones if it lasts that long. Exposure to the Sun, your immune system, can have an effect on how long it lasts before the colour begins to fade or change colour. There is no guarantee the scar tissue will hold the ink well. Ink can migrate, dots joining up with each other. Choosing a very experienced SMP clinic with a history of scar tissue work is paramount.
