Hello everyone ,myself Archan from india....i am 35 and suffering hair loss since around 13-14 years....i am into medical field myself (pharmacy owner) ...currently i am on oral minoxidil and finasteride since long and had many prp sessions ...now my hairloss is stabilised and i got very good results from medication and prp and now am considering a surgery ....

My plans are to fix hairline and midscalp first with around 3k to 3.5k grafts and thn after an year or so i would fill in the crown....from consultation with many doctors i believe i need around 6k-6.5k grafts to get full head of hair...bt my donor area is limited and i believe i could get around 5k grafts from it with 2 sessions ...so i need beard grafts as well...so i am planning for a first session of 3k to 3.5k grafts for hairline and midscalp and 2nd session one year later with another 3k grafts and this would be beard + scalp grafts for the crown and thn if i lack the density thn will go for smp...i am attaching my photos so evry1 can evaluate my situation well and can give suggestions and guidance according to their knowledge and experience .....

Hello Archan

I think your plan is good. You do seem to still have a little density at the hairline so the 3000 grafts used there shall go over these also as they shall fall over time if not?

Your hairline looks pretty decent combed forward. What does it look like if styled upwards? What hairline shape are you considering? I would not lower it, save the grafts.
Did you have much regrowth with the meds?
How many years have you been on the meds?
Have you a picture before you started the meds?

Yeh i have very good progress after i started medication ...actually am a pharmacy owner myself and surrounded by all the meds so i guess they need to give me good results
Bdw i dont wanna lower my hairline at all...if i style upwards thr is a bit bald spot on both the sides around forelock....so i just wanna feel tht without lowering my hairline so i cn use tht saved grafts for my midscalp to get the density ..and i evn like high hairline ...it suits my face...so i feel 1500 to fix my hairline and 1500-1700 to add density upto mid scalp would be better for 1st surgery ...am attaching pics pre and post meds

Yeh the existing hairline is somewhat dense bt will add more density to it..so my plan is to add around 1500 grafts into hairline without lowering it...and 1500-1700 grafts behind the hairline till mid scalp to get the density there .this is my 1st surgery plan and thn after one year i can go for another 3000 grafts (2000 scalp+1000-1200 beard) to fill in the crown and thn if lack density thn will do smp

Your pictures did not load showing pre and post meds.
Your surgery plan sounds good.
Which clinics are you considering?

I’ve seen a lot more work from HDC and I’ve met some of their patients. The results were very good.
The others you mention seem to be dong decent work as well.
It’s up to you to do your research and choose a doctor you like.

HDC would be my choice from your list but staying on the meds longer might give you more hair. How long have you been on them?
Are you a pharmacist?
