Hi Robby.
Is there any chance you could post clearer images and some of your donor area? At what age did you begin to thin?
It looks like you`re in the Norwood 5 area. What are you hoping to achieve? For example, a new hairline with decent coverage/density to the first 3rd of your head or possibly a thinner coverage across the whole area.

It looks as though you`ve receded from the neck up which may compromise your suitability to get an HT. The donor itself looks decent but the clinic will decide once they evaluate it.
I see you`re not on meds. They could help restore some of your hair and help you keep what`s left. You still have a bridge of hair in the middle of your scalp which should benefit from meds, plus crowns can respond really well.
If your donor allows it I would say concentrate on your frontal third and a lighter covering in the crown.
Let us know what Cosmedica comes back with.

Thanks again for the reply was just wondering if you could recommend some medication and where to buy it from .I have for many years had thinner hair from my neck to the donor area so hopefully won’t affect my chances of the HT .i have read quite a few positive reports about cosmedica I received the price list and was quoted an extra €1000 euros for Dr Acar to do the procedure himself I’m thinking is this worth it in your opinion and overall what you think of cosmedica as a choice

The patients I’ve eat in person who had their HT with Dr Acar directly had good results. It’s your choice if you decide that’s the option you’d prefer.
The neckline may have stabilised, they will check the whole area to make sure you have no issues.
I`m on Finasteride only which has worked well since 2005.
You can research Finasteride which is usually taken in tablet form, there is a topical form which is costs more.
Minoxidil liquid, Minoxidil foam or Oral Minoxidil are other things to consider.
All have possible side effects. You could speak to your GP about using any of the prescription only meds. They may prescribe it for you. Alternatively, there’s online outlets such as Dr Fox or United pharmacies.
I would ask Cosmedica about the meds while you’re communicating with them.

The doctor’s report for you *Mr Robert* is as following:

-The recommended areas for the extraction of grafts are:
*Donor area (Back of scalp).

-Number of sessions: One

-The recommended technique: the Sapphire pen

-Approximately a total of 3500 hair grafts in order to get implanted in the receding frontal, top and crown areas by filling in all the gaps of baldness and also the empty spaces in between existent hair with natural hair growth pattern following the design of the hairline that’s most suitable for your facial structure, starting from there and going backward while providing full coverage (after undergoing both sessions) with a high density of 40 hair grafts per each cm2.

Starting with a new hairline and high density in the front and top towards the crown. If seen extracting more is needed or possible, of course we will harvest accordingly and do more implantation for best possible result.

-Success rate: 100%

-Coverage rate: 100%(for each session)

-This case requires PRP treatment which help renew the damaged cells as well as preventing further hair loss problem by straightening the root of the hair follicle.

- Procedure needs one treatment day (6-8 hours).

-Lifetime warranty

*please note that this number of grafts is approximate.*

Hello Robby,

We have reviewed your case and would be happy to comment about it, we would just need to clarify a couple of things beforehand.

Firstly, when did you start experiencing hair loss? Could you send us pictures from 2 and 4 years ago? Also, have you tried PRP, or Finasteride/Rogaine/Minoxidil?

Your donor area seems great both on the sides of your head and on the upper back area, around the crown. In a single session, you could get a complete coverage of your frontal area with a lighter coverage on the back, where growth could be boosted with PRP.

Feel free to contact us so we can give you a more thorough medical treatment plan. Rest assured, we have treated cases much more severe than yours successfully.

Wishing you a great day,
MCAN

FUECapilar + Bicer + Doganay are good choices, but you may consider HDC based in Cyprus.
