Inversion Therapy

Hello all,

I am a researcher working on a new BBC show with Frank Skinner and I am looking to find someone who has used / does use inversion therapy to fight their hair loss to participate in our upcoming second series.

Also, I am looking for anyone who has used the LaserCap, or nanofibre technology and are happy to talk about either of them.

If you are not interested in being part of the show, but would be happy to help me with my research by sharing your experiences, I would also be very grateful.

Come on guys, lots of you have tried all sorts of potions/lotions etc that claim to treat hairloss, share your experience.

Also the Inversion Therapy where you had to hang upside down so the blood supply rushed to your head and helped maintain or re-grow your hair. I think not but i remember looking at this when using the internet to find a cure for my hairloss.

Good opportunity this for someone to show how hairloss really does affect peoples lifes and what solutions they have tried.....should be a good show, top guy Mr Skinner. Come on you cant all be cowards like me lol

I have absolutely no desire to share which medical procedures I undertake on a comedy discussion show on national television.

This show consists of Frank Skinner and two other comedians discussing topics of the day. In my opinion the procedures chosen by the programme to explore have been chosen with their comedy value in mind.

In my opinion the thinking process from the producers will be... "Can you believe the crazy things people will do thinking it will grow hair. Wouldn't it be funny to hang someone upside down...? Can you believe that people think this will make their hair grow? Cue funny gag from guest comedian about cue balls. What other crazy hairloss products are out there/ Cue concealers, hair in a can, terrible wigs etc"

I haven't seen the programme but it is not a medical programme. It is not a serious programme investigating hairloss causes and treatments. It is comedy programme and I guarantee there will be gags about being bald. (it is a comedy show after all);;D

I wish them luck but I have no interest in participating and I would warn anyone else who is considering it to go in with open eyes.

fair comment dude, the last thing i would want to see would be someone ridiculed for there hairloss. I havent seen the show either so i wouldnt know.......before anyone says yes maybe it would be a good idea to provide a little more info re

As a comedy show it is naturally a light-hearted look at the topics we cover. The difference with this show to Frank €™s others, however, is that it is a topical, chat show, designed to look at current stories in the news - from showbiz news to scientific research - as is the case with baldness. We do not invite guests to take part in the programme to be mocked, but rather to add to a larger general discussion with Frank and the rest of the audience.



I hope this helps reassure you that whilst the topics will be covered with a sense of fun, we do not invite guests to be the butt of the joke. I am happy to post clips from last years series to anyone who is interested in taking part.

The Frank Skinner Show and two other days of the topics discussed are comedians. My opinion is to explore the processes of his mind with comedy value chosen by the program selected. We invite guests to participate in the program is not to be mocked, but a great general discussion with Frank and to the rest of the audience to add.

not only is Inversion Therapy generally discredited, and I know from personal experience as I had to use one of these machines doing full inversion daily for a year to help my back - it helped my back but did nothing for my hair - but the show that you produced DID mock many of the bald/balding men who appeared.

I saw the show and it only really skimmed the surface of the issue with examples of a few treatments and a bit of audience acting I thought with the women who applied the nanogen to her partners head as she said she wouldnt be seen with him out looking bald lol,bit over the top.Anyone else see it ??.

I know that we may be a bit oversensitive when it comes to hair loss but I thought it was just a vehicle for gags at the expense of bald men.

Frank described a hair transplant he had seen as being like a toilet brush.
