Is this is an unreasonable request?

Purist it is absolutely one of the best ways to approach a procedure. Going as small as possible, maybe even as small as 100-200 grafts. It €™s taking responsibility for your own safety. It gives you the opportunity to greatly reduce risk and walk away should you decide that further procedures are not for you. Every patient should consider this approach in my opinion.

I think if every clinic were required to only offer a 100-200 graft procedure before any full restorations we would see a much higher satisfaction rate overall. Imagine what that would do for the industry. Great way to eliminate those that are performing subpar work.

Yes I agree with you. I was thinking of an £1800 procedure (200-300 grafts?) as a starter and giving it twelve months to gauge its success. Like I said earlier I have been balding for twenty years, so I can afford to take it slow.

Maybe 300 grafts doesn't sound much but I am hoping that it will make a difference to me. Afer all I'm doing it for myself not others.

Purist let me offer you a suggestion. I can often pick out a hair transplant from a mile away sometimes from just one indicator and that is the shine coming off the scalp. When there is too much shine for the quantity of hair the person has it €™s a good indicator and as I get closer I usually find that my assumption was correct.

What makes hair tattoo work stand out is the shine does not match the hair design and for the same reason you will often see them speak about using anti shine products. Since I use concealer myself and I don €™t use it in the hairline I too use an anti shine product in the hairline area and it makes all the difference and I don €™t say that lightly.

With all this being said you should try an anti shine product and see if that alone makes enough of a difference for you. I use Peter Roths anti shine cream and I did notice that many of the hair tattoo guys use that same product. Makes sense because I found that after many years of trial and error it was the only product that actually worked.
