Minoxidil stop working

hello
im very confused , i already buy the package from amazon , I've read à topic about minoxidil and I wanna try it but now ..

I know how confusing it can be. I have spent two years researching and trying everything imaginably possible.

I used Minoxidil for 18 months. Initially it worked. Then I stopped it after experiencing side effects. Then my hair fell out again after stopping.

So even though I also too thought hair loss industry hasn't made any proven advancements either.

My wife suggested I tried, Essential oils combined with herbal supplements.

Which I did and over 18-19 months, look at my progress.. NOT PERFECT but you can see hair has grown back.

So my suggestion if you are very serious about solving this problem

STEP 1 : order pygeum and saw palmetto

STEP 2: start daily exercising and meditating to combat bodily stress ( if your not already )

STEP 3: order these oils below

Inexpensive 7 essential oils from amazon. Mix them up and use them as a (non chemical) topical solution.

They work EXACTLY the same way Minoxidil does. ( But only more effective and without the side effects )

The oils are:

Rosemary
Clary Sage
Ylang Ylang
Lavender
Cederwood
Peppermint
Black seed
Jojoba
Organic castor oil

QUICK COMPARISON

Minoxidil : is understood to work by widening blood vessels and allowing more oxygen, blood and nutrients to the hair follicles.

COMES WITH SIDE EFFECTS

Rosemary + the other oils : increase circulation of blood in the scalp provide hair follicles with nutrients and oxygen needed to promote hair growth.

COMES WITH ZERO SIDE EFFECTS + cheaper to buy!

Good Luck Bro

P.s Do the above for 2 weeks then order a derma roller and add it to the daily routine.

So you are very right in what you are saying. Medication can lose its effectiveness over time.

Hi there , interesting post , and fantastic results btw. How do you apply the oils , do you mix them all together and apply at the same time?

Yes, I used Minoxidil religiously for 18 months. I then realised two things.

1. Its NOT a cure for Hair loss which means you're singing in into a life contract.
2. It doesn't promote HEALTHY new hair, if anything it stops the hair fall and just about maintains what you have.

But what I thought sucked the MOST, if you stop using it then you go back to square one and all you hair falls out.

Thats exactly what happened to me. I stopped using it and all my hair went. So I got super obsessed and WENT into deep research mode
to find a natural simple solution that will stop hair fall, put the breaks on DHT, stimulate the hair follicles and promote healthy new hair.

And like MAGIC its worked. Through a PERIOD OF TRIAL and error and determination I have found the secret combination to GROW your hair back, Iit's INSANE. Got a ton of pictures I can show :)

SO LET ME ASK YOU?
------------------------------
1. Have you tried anything else since then?

And I think I may know the reason why it may have stopped...
Could you please guide me about natural methods

I started the nizoral shampoo, I mix it up with my normal shampoo. I find it makes my hair a little dry but will give it a go for a while more. If I get a hair transplant I will get back on the minoxidil properly before and stay on it twice a day.
Have you stopped the Minoxidil then? Nizoral makes my scalp dry too. I use coconut oil the day after using Nizoral and it seems to help with the dryness.

I recently had a consultation with a hair specialist who told me that I have a Sebum Oil buildup on my scalp in my thinning area due to excessively washing my hair with a DHT reducing shampoo.

They said that the Sebum oil buildup is preventing the Minoxidil from getting into the follicle and it's just sitting on my head which is drying out my scalp and giving me a slight burning sensation accompanied by some itching. Basically the Minoxidil isn't working.

I stopped using the DHT blocking shampoo and I'm going to dramatically reduce how much I wash my hair. I'm also going to use a scalp & follicle enzyme shampoo for a month or so to help correct the situation. I'll go back in a month or so and have them take another look at my scapl to see if there's any improvement.

This battle against hair loss sucks!

4 awesome repairs with SMG
Yeah washing your hair too much definitely dries your scalp and can make hairloss worse....especially if you use something strong like Nizoral. At one point they used to do a milder version of Nizoral which was a 1 percent version instead of the usually 2 percent....its all about finding the right balance for you dude and yeah hairloss does suck I agree pal.

Interesting to know about the Sebum build up due to over shampooing plus the dry scalp issues.

Yeah, I've done a lot of research into hair loss issues and I had never heard of it. The oil builds up and prevents new hairs from penetrating through the scalp and it also prevents Minoxidil from getting into the follicles. There are shampoos that can help break down those oils but my doctor said he can give be a prescription spray that can clear that up in about a month. I was relieved to find out that my hair doctor know all about it. I really think I'm in good hands.

There are some over the counter topicals that when used moderatly, they can help reduce sebum oil and get it back to a normal balance.

Of course everybody is different and I'm glad the derma roller and oils helped you.
I found that the derma roller was slowly shredding my hair making it very fine and frizzy. I did it a couple of time a week for about three months and stopped.
I tried a couple of miricle oil concoctions and I found that after a week or so they gave me headaches.
If I get 3 headaches in a year, then I consider it to have been a bad year. The oils gave me a constant headach, 24/7 until a few days after I stopped.

Just my .02

I`ve not heard of OILS giving people headaches. Minoxidil has it as a known side effect.
What oils were you using?

Oh, I don't know, it's been a while since I tried that concoction. There's a guy on Youtube that swears by the mixture of oils that he put together.
I think it was specific proportions of Emu oil, coconut oil, vitamin E, caster oil, almond oil, bla, bla, bla.

Maybe it really works. He seems to have quite a head of hair and he has a lot of followers and comments of people who used it and found positive results but all it made me do was smell weird and it give me headaches.

Like they say, "even a drowning man will reach for the tip of a sharp sword for help" :)

There is an abundance of people claiming different things that have regrown their hair. Usually, they are selling or promoting something. A lot don`t mention they use hair loss meds in conjunction with these potions. I read a lot of products that claim to regrow your hair but in small print, there is the in conjunction with Minoxidil or minoxidil is the active ingredient.
Snake oils were the old saying for these potions, shampoos and lotions that made these claims.

Don't torture yourself. I wouldn't waste any time or money on hair regrowth products such as rogaine/minoxidil. They don't really "regrow" hair. Rather, they slow hair loss down and not even considerably. I started balding in my mid 30's and despite the hundreds of dollars I spent (or more correctly wasted) on regular doses of rogaine/minoxidil, baldness finally took over in my late 30's and now I just shave my head, which in hindsight I should've done right from the start. If you're genetically destined to go bald there's nothing you can do to change that. The sooner you accept it the sooner you'll spare yourself the painful torture and disappointments. The only thing that has a real shot at reversing your hair loss would be something like propecia. But just think, if it's defying your biological genes/structure like that then what kind of danger and damage could it be potentially imposing on your body? There's a risk of erectile dysfunction. So it's not a decision you should take lightly. Just trust me there's far worse things in life than losing your hair. So don't hesitate the slightest bit to shave it off (or at least keep it as short as possible for you) and get on with your life. Thank me later.

I'm sorry to hear that Minoxidil didn't work for you. It's true that hair regrowth products like Rogaine and Minoxidil may not work for everyone and can be quite costly.

I have heard some success stories with the use of Hair Folli, so it might be worth looking into if you're still interested in exploring hair regrowth options.
