My HT experience with Ziering Medical

Hi Captain, what made you go for Ziering? I have read different stories about clinics in the UK (i.e bad reputation and the quality of work) and after going for a consultation at the Leeds hospital I am still unsure about what to do.

Hi Diego2k13,

I had seen the advertisements for Jason Gardiner and his experience with Ziering and first of all thought that this man would not take the decision lightly to have a hair transplant since he was on the TV. I went along to the consultation in Southampton open minded but was impressed how I was treated and how everything was explained to me. After booking my HT, I was advised what head excercises to do before the operation to make the donor area more flexible and can honestly say from the moment I arrived there for my HT the staff were very polite and everything was explained to me before, during and after the operation. If I had any worries I was allowed to call Ziering and ask them for their advice.

I must say that I have been very happy with Ziering Medical and am glad that I too the decision to go with them.

Thanks for the reply Captain. I am still undecided in relation to Ziering. Just going to keep researching and go from there. My consultant who seemed quite nice and when I asked him whether he was commission based, replied no, has recommended Dr. Ganesh Krishnan to me. Can't find anything about him on the internet except for the Ziering website.

I hope you get the results you are looking for Captain!

Hi Janna,

I have been able to find out the information you requested. The total number of grafts was 2510.
574 one hair grafts
1428 two hair grafts
508 three hair grafts

The number of grafts were limited because I have a very wide stretched scar from previous surgery about seven years ago. A fresh strip was taken creating a second scar because I was keen to prioritise the graft numbers over the single scar. I have agreed that in the future I would like the stretched scar revised and tidied up.

My hair is coming on amazingly and for me it is such a massive confidence boost. I guess family and friends have noticed may have noticed but nobody has said anything which I am really pleased about. Its nice after all this time to have a relatively short hair cut that matches so well. I hope to add some new photos soon and you can see the diffrence. How is your hair coming along now?

I went for my first check up with Mr Ball the other day and he was really pleased with the results. I must say like lots of other people do that my confidence has come back having the new hair. Hope to post some new photos soon showing the growth since the HT took place in May 2012.

I echo that. Thats really all that matters is that your happy. Personally from what ive read about this clinic, is its a bit of a lottery as to what results you get. Your having good results which is great, others that have been to this clinic have not been as fortunate.
As regards to Jason Gardener, he wears more concealer than wayne rooney.I remember him sat on that couch on This Morning with Dr Ziering himself, saying what a wonderfull HT he has had, when his head was covered in Toppik.

That moment you mentioned with JG on This Morning with Dr Ziering. I wonder how many people whom watched that in England, were impressed with the results (totally unaware it was fraudulent advertising with the use of Concealor) and got butchered by a non reputable UK clinic.
I went to a UK Clinic approx 6mths ago, i wont name them as i got banned from another forum recently for mentioning their name. I had no intention of using them (i work in London so it is very easy for me to arrange a consultation). But they werer showing me PICS of JG and stated that this was the density they could achieve. When i mentioned it looks like he has sprayed on hair on his head, he said this was dense packing.
To be fair to Ziering he may not have seen JG before they both appeared on the show and may have been put on the spot.
