Sweet looking work.
His work is neat. But the smaller the operation the neater it will be. My first op wasn’t as neat as that , but it was a bigger op. Dr Demirsoy has spread the grafts about between what was left of the existing hairs , and the last transplant hairs.
I’ve seen people worrying that they haven’t had growth after 4 months . My last ht took 6.5 months to kick in . My latest one I’m not expecting anything until 8 month Mark. That’s because it’s thickening around other hairs. The crown and the back of the head always takes the longest. Because you arnt operating on a flat canvass. You don’t notice as much
That’s kind of why I don’t like concealers. It gives you a false expectation.

By the way , I kind of feel ashamed that I didn’t document after my first surgery considering this forum helped me . I got my op and fucked off . So That’s why I gone into to probably a bit too much detail.

so is anybody wants any advice or help , message me ... by the way I’m no clinic rep.. I’ve got my own work to be getting on with . Cheers boys !

Hi Yiddo,
The extractions and placement look nice and refined. Your hair loss had thinned in an unusual pattern. These grafts should add decent density to your hair.
The crown area usually takes longer to grow in but for some they do get growth early on. The good thing is you know what to expect regarding the timelines.
It's good to hear the clinic and their rep are taking good care of you and keeping in touch.
Thanks for documenting everything so well.
Heal and grow well.

Congratulations Yiddo....I’m amazed how clean everything looks....when this grows out you will have a full head of head....I think you will heal quickly because it’s so refined.
Your resilience paid off with the money situation....That was a lot of bad luck.

Yeah the money situation was a nightmare . Lol .. but I got there in the end , the dr said I had more grafts so I would have loved to have got more. But it is what it is.

I will be at the 10 day Mark tomorrow , all scabs have fallen off , so I will post up some pictures

Looks very good so far. You are healing pretty well - hardly any signs of redness and there is plenty of growth in the mid scalp region.

Hi Yiddo. Did all your transplanted grafts shed?

Yes mate . I’m just over the 4 week Mark now . It’s flown by . I will post some pictures up this afternoon .
I had some grafts shed around the 7 day mark, I can’t remember that happening last time , but I didn’t have work in hairline this time , it was just volume through my channel . So it is hard to figure out from the beginning what shed and what didn’t .

Everything has shed now though .

My donor doesn’t feel as sensitive now. First three weeks it was quite sensitive , didn’t hurt , just slightly sensitive. I think a lot of that , is slight bruising from the injections , as the sensitivity came exactly from where they injected .
All good now though

That’s good to hear that the sensitivity has gone and everything back to normal. You don’t notice the shedding as much when it’s not the hairline, well I never.

I’ll look forward to seeing your pictures.

So here are some photos . It’s been 4 weeks . Everything has healed . A bit of shock loss mid scalp maybe , maybe a bit around the donor . But I’m not too worried , everything that I had on top was pretty much transplanted hair , and I expect I have lost some original hairs which is to be expected . I’m pretty confident in the next 6 weeks I’ll be pretty much how I started .

I’m aware that I’ve probably lost some original hair and a percentage of the new grafts will have to balance that up .

just gonna sit back for the next 6 months and wait for things to thicken up .

I will probably have a trim up round the sides in 4 weeks , so I’ll upload some more photos on the 2 month mark

cheers

Everything looks right on track for 4 weeks. With your shed and maybe some shock loss it does look a bit thinner which happens a lot after surgery. Just that waiting game now as you well know.
The mature hairline suits yo also.
Thanks for the update.

Thanks mate. Yes I have started taking minoxidil , along with saw palmetto tablets, just to try and get back to my original state a bit quicker . Also still taking finasteride.

Yes when I went to cosmedica I decided to go with a high conservative hairline . They originally wanted/ suggested a much lower hairline , and when I wanted it higher they were quite surprised.

I decided to go with this as I didn’t want a low hairline with no volume behind it . It was part of my 3 stage plan .
1/ to get a hairline back with some volume behind it
2/ to then get a second ht where the Dr actually does the extractions , to add more density ..

and 3/ if all goes well with the 2nd , to go back , have what I have left extracted safely and and re- shape the hairline , not so much lower but just re-shape and maybe thicken any more areas up .

but at the minute I’m happy with how things are going on my stage 2.. just hoping with the combination of minoxidil & finasteride , it will give my second op all the advantages I can get , to get things as thick as possible .

Sounds like a good game plan you have. Not lowering your hairline during the first surgery has saved you donor grafts that can be used on your 3rd surgery if you go ahead.
Hopefully, the meds do speed up your growth and maintain the rest of your hair.
